Cesc is far more effective as a passer from midfield, and someone who pushes up the field to get goals ... he cannot break up attacks with efficiency, and is not a born ball-winner ...

Yaya isn't a "pure DM" either, but his tackling is excellent, and he can play the role better than most in the world ...

I'd be impressed if Barça strongly consider someone young like Charles Kaboré for the role ...

Only if Ibra left... and i would get rid (and i doubt the club can) Zlatan, he deserves another chance. Kluivert first season were also poor and he is a similar player and person.

He used to play as DM for Barca. I wouldn't be surprised if he played there for Barca since there's Xavi and Iniesta. Or maybe Xavi as DM. But he'll most likely play CM/AM. His talent would be wasted at DM.

Btw if Barcelona payed 40M + Eto'o for Zlatan, why not 40M + Toure for Fabregas

Sport is reporting negotiations are around 12 mil, I think either would be a great signing as they both have a fantastic future.

I read that article ... says Ajax started at 15, and then got worked down ... don't know why they should since his contract runs for another 3 years ... they would be idiots to sell him for only 12 ... actually, if no deal happens for him before the World Cup, then I think the competition for his signature will up the price over 15, especially if Man City come into the picture ...

ajax are getting taken to the cleaners if that is true ... they sold cristi chivu for €18mil back in 2003, and they can easily get that much for van der wiel now ... for ajax's sake, i hope they wait till after the world cup to conclude a deal, coz i am sure van der wiel will impress enough in south africa to get the competition for his signature to raise his sale price ...
