Rossi can play as a false nine, and on either side of the trident ... Alexis is a wing-forward ... if Bojan is leaving (even on loan), then the choice is obvious -- unless a new Larsson is being lined up ...

Sanchez is amazing, but Rossi makes more sense for Barca IMO. Sanchez is more about individual brilliance while Rossi is more about the team.

leaving aside the "Barça don't have depth" argument, you're right: the system isn't broken, and of course doesn't need fixing ... but as with any machine, you need to get new components in order to keep the performance levels high ...

Why do you need Rossi or Sanchez to sit on your bench? Thats a waste of talent.

nothing surprising about the need for depth in a squad, especially one that will be competing for 6 trophies once again next season (and also the accolade of 5 trophies in the 2011 calendar year) ...

what is surprising is that the current depth in central defence is apparently considered sufficient ... but then again, logic has never been a mark of Pep's tenure, so no surprises there ...

There aren't many promising forwards in Barça B, Deulofeu is a wonderkid but he is still too young. Our youth teams are awesome but we also need to sign players from outside. If it were of you guys we would only have 11 players in the roster... wasn't "el jefecito" or Adriano a waste of money? Key players to win the double. Pepito Rossi ftw.

I agree that you need more depth. But why Rossi and Sanchez for depth? You don't need world class players to warm the bench. You could get someone like Ben Arfa or Altintop for example. Just examples.

Ben Arfa or Altintop? haha, who is building a Kebab is real madrid. Rossi can perfectly bench Villa or Pedro, competence is good.

I'm not so sure Rossi is best used on the outside although he's certainly good enough to do it. He's more of a false 9. It's really hard to find unselfish players with great technique that speak Spanish and could blend into Barca though and he's probably at the top of the list. I think if you're going to spend that much money Juan Mata is the better target (Valencia are in some financial troubles), but Rossi's okay too. Mata can fill in very well for all 3 forwards and I don't have a doubt in my mind that he'd excel.

Rossi is better (and diferent) than Mata, 32 goals this season. Pepito is deadly in depth, he will play (if we sign him) in one of the wings like Villa or Pedro, the false 9 is Messi and he play all the matches. He didn't play as false 9 at Villarreal, their fowards open to the wings and Cazorla & Cani come to the center.

Yeah I know Messi is supposed to play all the matches, but he can get injured. It IS possible. You also need to start worrying about the miles on his legs so he doesn't burn out by 30.
