Pep inverts the pyramid right back to where it started.

I don't really buy this "for all of Pep's teams' dominance, they will give you a chance" narrative, because we sure gave Arsenal a chance last year and Chelsea a chance the year before, all without Pep. However, I would like to see more dominance in the next round. I would prefer Chelsea and I hate the idea of facing Mourinho in a 1 game final. Atletico may be the most dangerous team over 1 game, but I worry the most about Mou.

Something maybe Arnau can answer. When you already hold supremacy in the center of the pitch, why bring more men into that area and crowd out your own space? It seems to me that if you already dominate the center with Kroos and Lahm and whoever else, then you should spread out your other players instead of bringing them closer together and condensing your own space. The old Total Football axiom is that when you have the ball you want to expand the pitch, and when the opponent has the ball you want to condense. In a sense it seems like Pep is playing defense for the opposition when he drags so many men inside that could be deployed in other areas. Assuming, of course, that you already are dominant in the middle, which Bayern is.

I'd say you are trying to create space by crowding the middle, bringing players to the interior also would drag opposition players who would be less adept to the task and leave spaces for overlapping players coming around alaba/lahm interestingly enough this probably struggled vs united because of Moyes' idea of players being sectioned in the pitch and covering that area.. Just an idea

Jupp Heynckes: "I spoke with Toni. If he takes my words seriously, he will stay. He won't find something like Bayern anywhere else in Europe at the moment. He would be well advised to extend. The club made him a good offer."

Fuck Pep, I want this guy back

Nice video. It sucks that all these guys (Mourinho, Pep) are like great cool dudes but then act like stuck up bitches for the media.

FYI, the reason I changed my sig away from King Kroofrey was because I knew what was about to happen this season. VAGUE SPOILER ALERT
