Cicinho impressed me during the competition and if Trabelsi can't be signed, or if he costs to much I think Cicinho would be a great option.

Well if Porto are going to get him we better be quick, aren't Betis after him too?

That's from a great Portuguese journalist site, some of u might get a lot of good information about actual worldwide football! Players of the moment, young talents, tactics, etc!

www.planetadofutebol.com

About the RB's, besides Nelson there's another great youngster on our SuperLiga! He's young, about 21 or so, tall (+1.80m), good attacking and defensive skills, and he plays in Leiria!!! He's name LARANJEIRO!

******* asshole!

Just for coming with this **** for the press I'd place him in the B team until his contract expires (and wouldn't let him play any game...).
If that's his opinion, then tell it to the SAD directors or PdC... never, EVER, to the press...

And it's always good to hear a player say that he'll be working harder now... it only means that he wasn't working hard so far. And to be honest, I never saw this asshole run once after the ball...

I think this shows a complete lack of professionalism... Talking trash about a past coach is something that should never be done...

Yeah, but changing coaches has nothing to do with the fact that Leo Lima plainly sucks.

'O novo treinador tem de ser diferente para que o possamos respeitar' --> this is what annoys me the most about this guy: he came to Porto from a small club and thinks it's our coach who needs to earn his respect. Ah.

We seem to finally have found a RB...it may be a rumour, but being on "oJogo", makes me think it is already a fact.
I know nothing about him except for what I've read on the article below
The man's name is Fatih Sonkaya, he comes from Besiktas for 1,5 million €.

I'd appreciate some help from any Turkish or Dutch fans, or whoever knows him well enough, to give us some lights about this guy's skills.

Can't wait to see the man play, hope he's the RB we need! :jambo:

Meanwhile Kromkamp is bound to stay with AZ for another season, thanks to the greedy AZ board :ewan:

He'll probably end up at Valencia for 8.5 million euros. From what I read, Porto weren't willing/could not make the payment at once while Valenica could. And there is no "AZ board," it's just one greedy guy called Scheringa. He promised van Gaal that only two players would be sold. So far only Lindenbergh has been sold (to Ajax).

Newspaper ABola says that Kromkamp is still an option to FCPorto now that it seems that Valencia has given up on him due the high financial demandings of Mr. "I´m Not Used to Deal" Scheringa!

If that is still possible either they accept the partial payments that FCPorto wants to do, or PDCosta looses his mind and spends a load a money right now just to please Mr. Co.

Besides if Kromkamp comes we now have an extra dismissal in order to get the 24/25 players squad! That's about 8 or 9 dismissals!!!

PS: Does anyones knows this Fatih Sonkaya?

Wow, that really got me hyped! Not! :nape:

Why do we keep wasting money on some random nobody heard of? Why do we keep wasting our money on junior teams if all we do to our promising players is ship them to clubs like Vitória, Académica, etc., or lend them to Liga de Honra clubs?

And btw, this deal just goes out to show how stupid our SAD is when it comes to negotiating. Just follow me and see if this makes any sense:
* In the begining of the 2004/05 season Sonkaya - who played regularly at FC Roda - is transfered to Besiktas for 0,5M€.
* After spending most of last season in the bench, Porto buys Sonkaya for 1,5M€ - 3 times the money Besitkas payed for him!!!
I rest my case.

I really dont think this is such a bad buy!

1st - it's not that expensive!
2nd - has a european passport
3rd - asked by the coach, shall we trust Co Ad or not?
4th - he only played 10 games cause they played with 3 defenders only and Okan was the 1st RW (That's what i heard, still needs confirmation)
5th - has the physical type wanted (that aint all, but it helps)

He has also played for Holland in younger teams!

1st - If you look solely at the amount of money it doesn't seem that much, I agree. But 1,5M€ is a lot of money to our youth developping system - where that money should have been invested instead! Also, you got to take notice of how much Besitkas payed for him and how well he did for the turks in order to realize whether it was a good deal or not.
2nd - True. But so do our youngsters.
3rd - Yes. But we should also think for ourselves.
4th - Don't know, you're probably right.
5h - So does Karadas.

and, according to your (good) link:

I wonder how much was Sivasspor paying Besitkas. 1,5M€? Don't think so...
Always a bad sign, I fear.

Don't get me wrong, I hope he'll do great with our shirt. It's just that our SAD's policy on buying players makes me want to smash their heads against a wall.
