I'd like to praise a man.
A man that loves FCP just as much as I do.


Vitor Baia is assuming a God-like position in my head. He manages to save shots, to make wonderful long passes and specially he gets every crossed ball on his reach. And he plays his heart out every week.
It's impressive how twats like Scolari can harm him this way, and how the press spreads a ridiculous rumour about his sexuality, like that had something to do with his job.

This is a player that actually accepted to reduce his wage, unlike some other players that currently steal money from my club.

I have become a gk because of this man, whom inspired me when i started to watch football at the age of five, and all this years passed he continues to be an example for me.

As long as I care he could make 100 mistakes this season; He's already a legend for me and will always be.

Live long Baia. Play long. Get in front of the NT goal.

Baia IS THE BEST PORTUGUESE GOALKEEPER OF ALL-TIME. No ifs and buts about it and i don't see any other goalkeeper that will ever achieve what he has in his career.

Baía was also an inspiration for me

i started playing as a gk because of seeing him play and doing those great saves, that he still does nowadays (that fk save in San Siro was fantastic!!), he's very confident when coming out for the crosses, very few go by him. it's a shame that a strange force is keeping him away from the NT, and i still think today that if he had played in Euro 2004 we would have won that final...

Baía is THE man. Probably our greatest legend of the past decade (and we've had many). He's the greatest portista among all players in my book.

What if he was a benfiquista when he was a kid? Switching to Porto just goes how to show how clever the man is! :amika:

Btw, I was lucky to have met him early in his career, in his very first year as Porto's gk with just 19yo, when he went to my high-school to meet the fans! He patiently signed 1000000000000000 autographs and I've been a fan ever since.

AND about the NT issue, the last i heard was about a problem in the last World Cup 2002! Somehow in Coreia, he and Figo had a dissagreement and since then they dispite one another, what took Figo to say that in the NT it was him or Baia and it seems that Madail prefered the nº7 Pesetero! And that's why Superdragões bash and "buh" Figo whenever FCPorto plays agaisnt him!

Most Portuguese newspaper say it today but there's nothing official yet, the rumour came from Brazilian media!

This season he scored 16 goals, that's lot for a RB!! I've been checking this guy and it seems that he's a Co Ad player: great attacking but not so great defending!

meh, dunno what to think really...it'll be good for them but this shouldn't be way for them to leave...
about Postiga I don't really care, but our Bicho should stick with us till the end, playing or not...this was supposed to be his last season anyway

Seems that Diogo Valente is a FCPorto player for next season!

A true left winger, seems to be humble and dont suffer the portuguese "i am a superstar, bow!" sindrom, let's se if he can handle it!


And Postiga to Marseille? I dont like to see him go, but the kid doenst play as we expected, and if it's a loan till the end of this season i agree!

I rather see Postiga leave for good. He's our most expensive player, is a bench warmer and when he gets his chance he's crap... Good riddence.
Used to be a big fan of the young lad, pity it had to go this way.

If you look at Postiga now and also at 3 years ago which one comes on top? Know those players in CM who have good stats at a young age but never develop? That's where Postiga is. He isn't any better now and likely won't be. In other words, sell him for as much as you can.

Let me write this again: leaving your club at such a young age to warm the bench of some foreign club is a career-killing move.
