I have seen a few highlights of Marek Cech, and he seems like a fast, skillful player, I hope he does well in Porto. I think it was a good signing, and I cant wait to see this guy play.

3-0 FT. What a finish to a game we deserved to win, we were attacking well just couldn't find the back of the net. I think BigA proved he deserves to be starting over Sokota. Diego and Lisandro played great and I think the defence did a good job too. Quaresma's goal was a beauty this should give the guy confidence, hes been playing well since the Egypt game and I think he will have a good season.

Thanks for the goals Ruinz, I think everyone should at least take a look at the first one!

so we won 3-0, after being tied till the 87'...all the goals we've searched for throughout the match came in the final minutes, I was so f'cking tense near the end...
Great display by us nevertheless. We've been on the attack whenever we had the ball, always searching to score, and if it wasn't for the Rio Ave keeper Mora (the same old b'tch making us suffer till the end ) and some lack of fortune, we could have decided the game much sooner.

Rio Ave has a great footballing team, I see benfica and Sporting having major headaches trying to get past them....

I can't even name the best players, all of them were just great IMHO except for Sokota, who perhaps needs to get some more matches on his legs to be more accurate on his actions throughout the games.

I'm with a huge smile on my face, I hope we just keep getting better and better

We were huge tonight..Rio Ave ain't an easy team at all, and we managed to be constantly all over them

Sonkaya must improve his crosses badly and Sokota must gain confidence, other than that our attacking plays are so fluid they sometimes amaze me..it seems like the players play together for years and some long passes just make me clap in the couch

I cheered so loud when the goals were achieved..It was just great, i loved when Baía ran the whole field to celebrate the 2nd goal just like a kid would, they seem like the most fanatic portistas when they play, really respect the shirt they're wearing..that's why i think McCarthy hasn't got a place in this team, he wouldn't be able to fit in the spirit of those trully porto-like players.

That was an epic game. At spaces, during the first half, I thought I was looking at Cruyff's Holland, so intense was our attack, with everybody involved. Really great stuff!

Sokota is a great pivot (ao estilo do futebol de salão) but every time he touches the ball it seems I'm already watching the slow-motion replay.
We also need to improve the crosses (only Alan got them right) and the shooting. Being on the stands behind Rio Ave's goal was a dangerous place to be.
Other than that we did well. Also, great to see our team believing until the very end! A sign things have changed from last year.

O FC Porto anunciou ontem um encaixe de 21,2 milhões de euros - verba que será parcelada nos próximos seis anos - resultante da renegociação do contrato com a Portugal Telecom, com quem os portistas estenderam a ligação até 30 de Junho de 2011. A informação foi comunicada à Comissão de Mercado dos Valores Mobiliários, cumprindo uma formalidade legal indispensável às empresas cotadas na Bolsa, e esse comunicado dá ainda conta de uma das alíneas inovadoras do acordo entre os portistas e a Portugal Telecom, que continuará estampada nas camisolas dos dragões: os proveitos do FC Porto podem crescer, conforme ficou estipulado, mediante o rendimento desportivo no período em que vigorar a ligação contratual. Por outras palavras, o bolo fixo de 21, 2 milhões de euros, garantido pelo simples prolongamento do vínculo, pode fermentar com as próximas vitórias dos portistas, ficando apenas por saber que triunfos serão mais valorizados nesta parceria comercial.

Finally we have Bosingwa for tonight's game, Sonkaya was making a mess out of the chances he's had to play first team football.
I really hope we improve our scoring accuracy, the game against Braga left me truely disappointed as we were much better than them, attacked the whole f'cking match but didn't manage to score.
Btw Braga played like a pussy, I expected them to come forward without being on counter-attack at least one time, but noooooooo, they just had to sit back for almost the whole game. Bah!

We have quality football, quality players, quality coach.....some luck on the scoring department would be nice by now
At least Sokota will be out for a long time, so we don't need to worry about him messing up our attack.
Hugo Almeida should start!
