we all knew it was happening sooner or later...I wish him all the best, absolutely massive player for us but it was hard to turn down a €24M fee considering the player wanted to leave anyway.
I just wished both him and Lucho had moved to better clubs, their football surely deserved so.
Now we better get a brutal striker, at least we don't have any excuses money-wise...

@ oJogo.pt on last Friday's edition, their info is usually very reliable Porto-wise...
Candeias is a good prospect as of yet, nothing more. Fast winger with reasonable technique but he lacks experience a lot...hopefully he'll develop well at Huelva.

also the Valeri transfer from Lanús is as good as complete from what I heard on TV, guess we'll have our very own Riquelme seriously, I think his style is really similar in the way he moves and hits the ball although I can't say if he's actually that talented since all I know from him are his youtube vids:

transfers and rumours apart, we just had our first "official" friendly of the pre-season against Leixões and we won 3-1 with goals being scored by Belluschi, Meireles and Mariano.
We had a good first half with Belluschi and Hulk impressing not only by their individual skill but also by the way they combined, in fact the first goal came from a sweet through ball from Hulk which ended up in an "as cool as it gets" finish from the Argie.
Second half with all the subs and sh't the game dropped a lot and only a BS call on Leixões' penalty livened it up a bit...it was an OK display in the end, not much to be expected at this stage anyway.
about it for now...can't wait for the ******* season to start already, caralho!

btw are the new kits going to be presented before the season starts or what?
can't understand wtf is taking so long, I think we're now the only team left from the Nike crew...

Loan deal with option to buy: always a good thing since it largely minimizes the damage in case the player flops.
I'm expecting great stuff from the kid, can't wait to watch him in action...

wasn't my first analysis enough?
first half was cool to watch especially because Belluschi gave very good indications of what he can do, smooth ball control, good vision and enough heart to go after every ball. Being his first match with us, more than good enough for me.
Hulk was his usually self running opponents off in almost every occasion and unecessarily giving up possession too many times...still he had an assist, and provided some good passing to the wingers...thing is he's just not the same playing in the middle, his explosiveness is much more useful in either one of the wings.
second half was dull as **** and every other player was simply ok if you ask me, can't be bothered into grading them and sh't.

Actually, honorable mention for Tommy as he was beast in the midfield during the whole match.
