annoyed the sh!t out of me that none of the Serie A bigs made a play to take him back to Italy ... Roma and Napoli have both shown the willingness to spend on quality, and yet failed to take advantage of a doable fee ... :kader:

Come on, i believe we've had this discussion before. He would have rather joined Man Utd than some Serie A team last summer.

Napoli had the cash, but they spent most of it on Higuain and a few others. Still wouldn't have gone there.. Fiorentina/Inter/Milan, just no. Same with Roma, he would have suited their playing style though. Juve.. same (now he'd be great for them if they switch to 433).

Maybe you'll see him in Serie A when he's 32.

Yeah but he has ties to Italy and nothing to england, why would he want to go to a shithole like Manchester?

Who cares about his Italian roots at this day and age? Obviously Bayern was his first choice because of Guardiola who actually believed in him, and he has shown why.. Why on earth would he move to shitty Serie A with Juventus _almost_ the only team challenging for the title (that was a year ago).

Manchester can be a shithole, i've never been there and it isn't my designated place for vacation either. But rather play in the EPL than in the fourth best league in Europe. Juve didn't have the funds or need for him, and that would have been the only reasonable place for him to go. Your fucking midfield is packed and other clubs in Serie A are shite. Xifio is delusional, case closed.

He grew up in Italy for nearly the first 15 years of his life man, Xifio was only stating that an Italian club should have tried to get him

Yeah he may have grown up in Italy okay okay.. That's besides the point.

It's just that he seems to think that clubs like Roma and Napoli would have stood a chance at signing him. Even huge wages wouldn't have tempted him. I might come off as a Serie A loathing asshole to you, but it's a fact that getting Thiago would have been/and is a pipe dream for those teams.
