Fifa 06 Crashes Online

Can anyone help?
Any time i play Fifa 06 on line, the game stutters and crashes
to the desktop immediately after clicking on "play online".
The only thing that seems to help is uninstalling & reinstall.
But then after a couple of hours, same problem.
The problem occurs only when going online.

Anyone else experienced this?
