Dear makispla,
I don't have enough time to watch the video-instructions, because i am about moving to UK for my PhD on Saturday!

Πάντως, σ' ευχαριστώ πολύ για μία ακόμη φορά για τη βοήθειά σου...

does anyone know how to delete the adboard(s) for a stadium or change its position and move them farther away from the pitch? i notice that some stadiums have adboards closer to the pitch while other stadiums adboards are more far away from the pitch.

which of the installed stadium files have the adboard positioning information? i don't think it's coll-x-0.bin, eff-x-0.txt, sle-x-0.loc, or tag-x-0.loc because not all stadiums have those files (and still have adboards), unless the lack of one of those files reverts to default positioning for that stadium? the only other ones besides the o. files are covmap-x-1.fsh and t226__x_0.fsh?

each stadiums has different adboard placement so it's got to be in one of those files, right?

does anyone know what .o file the stadium details are in? like you know how some stadiums have camera equipment on the field, or benches, or photographers? i noticed some stadiums have textures of cameras in different locations. i am trying to try and edit some of the stadiums. is there a list or description of what each .o file is? you know how each stadium that you install has like m716__xxx-0.o, m716__xxx-1.o, m716__xxx-4.o, etc and t226__xxx_0.fsh, and some have .loc files? well it must be that one of those .o files has the stadium details like camera equipment on the field, benches, coaches, media people, etc. i've tried to open the .o files with oedit, but i kept getting an error. then it load and its all black instead of in color. hopefully someone who knows more about stadium editing / creating can answer this question. some stadiums have great details like benches and that could be used in other stadiums. and many stadiums would look better if we could delete or move the adboards, or some of those stadium specific field details.

coll-x-0.bin is the file that defines where the ball bounces on the limits of the pitch due to adboards or stands.this and the sle files (that defines the location of the lights) can be modified with Fifa2009LightWorker (you can find it here http://lu.idf.pagesperso-orange.fr/).
All you can see in a stadium are made by a 3d object (o files)and textures that are in the fsh files.from what i know (and i know very little in 3d editing) stadium makers convert the o files in other 3d formats that 3d editing programs can edit (3ds for rhino or blender for example),do their editing, and convert the 3d files back to o files...i think it's the most difficult job in game editing

thanks makispla for the info and that link. i downloaded Fifa2009LightWorker and Ofilesworker from that site. i'm hoping Ofilesworker works better then Oedit, which wasn't working too well for me, and lets me view some of the textures.

you said
coll-x-0.bin is the file that defines where the ball bounces on the limits of the pitch due to adboards or stands.

does this mean this file controls where the adboards actually are positioned? i ask this because in some of stadiums i've imported via CM10, they do not have a coll-x-0.bin installed with it.

you know what i mean? some stadiums only install the .o files and .fsh files, while others have .o, .fsh, and coll-x-0.bin. others have .o, .fsh, coll-x-0.bin, and those .loc files. for the stadiums that don't have a coll-x-0.bin, does the adboard position for those stadiums revert to a default location or a default coll-x-0.bin located in one of the original zdatas?

the placement of the adboards is the first thing i'm trying to figure out. another thing i want to figure out is why some stadiums have more rendered grass then others. i observed this while testing out a larger pitch. when testing the larger pitch, some stadiums fit perfectly, but others have adboards too close to the field and cut off the goal. even more, many stadiums do not have enough rendered grass. each of these are separate problems that i'd like to solve. do you think the placement / position of the adboards are in coll-x-0.bin, or are they in the .o files? how about the amount of rendered grass? (i can show you a screenshot if that would help)

thanks so much for your help and your link. i think this can be a very useful discussion for anyone interested in fifa 10 stadium editing.

"does this mean this file controls where the adboards actually are positioned?" no.the file determin the place where the ball bounce and not the positioning of the actual ad.you can figure it out yourself by removing this file from a default stadium,,,you will see that the ball doesn't bounce on the ads anymore, instead it goes through them...the 3d object of the adboards is (i think) part of what the editors call stadium template part of wich is also the pitch...

ok i think i understand now. so if you move the adboard in the .o file but don't change coll-x-0.bin, then maybe the ball will bounce off of an invisible barrier. and if you delete coll-x-0.bin, then the ball will go through the actual adboard. i wonder if you can edit coll-x-0.bin to make the ball bounce off other things besides adboard like, camera equipment, or benches that are in some stadiums. i will try

the 3d object of the adboards is (i think) part of what the editors call stadium template part of wich is also the pitch...

ok i will try to open and edit those .o files to find where the adboard 3d object are, and try to move them. do you think i will be able to do that with ofilesworker 2.0 or 3.0 or will have have to convert the .o file to another format like .3dm and open it in rhino 4? in some of the stadiums, i'd like to try to either move the adboard back farther (and edit coll-x-0.bin) or delete the adboard entirely (and delete coll-x-0.bin).

makispla, you were right about the coll-x-0.bin file. when that is not present for a stadium, the ball does not bounce off the adboard and goes right through it. apparently that file was causing a bug on throw ins when the adboard is too close (in some stadiums) the player tried to throw it in but then the throw in animation was affected by the collision, sometimes getting stuck in the adboard.

i am trying to understand why some stadiums are brighter then others. (seats, stadium architecture, buildings in the background) in some stadiums it is very bright, especially the whites, and looks unnatural while other stadiums look fine. maybe it has something to do with those loc files. you said that the sle files defines the location of the lights. most of the stadiums i install doesn't have the sle file. (only a few of them)

how about tag-x-3.loc and tag-x-4.loc? any idea what those do?
