Since everyone is complaining about lag in FIFA 11 I had to post this thread.

If you have dedicated graphics card and 32-bit Windows enable the integrated card too.
Open your BIOS and find "shared memory size"(Chipset section of the BIOS).Set this value to the lowest possible.Often the lowest value makes blue screen when Windows loads.Experiment.
If you don't know what is BIOS or you are unfamiliar with it DON'T TRY THIS
It is not my fault if your computer doesn't boot.

Defragment your system partition with Windows' build-in Disk Defragmenter.And use this tool

to defragment Fifa 11's Folder.
!! How to use the tool
-Open command prompt(WinKey+R and type cmd)
-Then type "pathto\contig.exe" -s "pathto\FIFA 11" with quotes
Example "Dprograms\contig.exe" -s "DGames\FIFA 11"
The tool is made by Microsoft so it's NOT a virus.

If you enable VSync enable Triple Buffering too.You should find this option in
For Nvidia : Nvidia Control Panel\Manage 3D settings\Program Settings\Add\fifa.exe\Triple Buffering->on
For Ati : I don't own such Videocard so i don't know where this option is but i'm sure it exists

Yeah especially here in south america where the prices are way out of reach for the majority, in fact here in Colombia only the 15% of people knows or care that a good graphic card is needed to run most of the latest games in the market.

hello my friend.i have this configuration on my computer:motherboard gigabyte 965p-ds3 cpu e8400 3gb ram and ati radeon hd4730 512 mg.whit this configuration on max detalis the game isnt running fluent.it runs jerky

i had lagging problems with my fifa 11 demo....
i also had lagging problems with fifa 11 full game....... what i did was install the directx which was provided with the game....
now it runs very smooth..... all those who have a lagging problem can try to install the directx again because directx is not properly installed during game setup...
( i even told my friend to do it as he too had lagging problems and now it runs better than before on his pc too)

None of the tips worked for me - although lag temporarily disappeared from the demo when changing the sound frequency (or something) in Control Panel. Luckily, the game doesn't lag at all for me under Win XP - I'm wondering if going to 4Gb would help as Win 7 requires more RAM than XP? RAM can't run in dual channel with an odd number of sticks as well.

nope.yesterday i`d tried a patch made by fifaCCitiu.com and it was no more lagging until i instaled another patch made by monkey dragon the one with the tele camera.i`d tryed to reisntal fifa...nothing then reistal windows+fifaCCitiu.com patch and still nothing.the configuration i have is optimal to play fifa 11 on max settings?

The fix for this problem is setting Anti-Aliasing at a set value in your control panel of either Nvidia or ATi. Do not set it to application-controlled, this causes the lag.

I'm sure I've tried that, but it's worth another go - which level of AA would you recommend?

Certainly is, but there are a lot of people getting lag with very good systems, there are also people not getting lag with less powerful systems.

its contrary to my country (indonesia), as most of the graphics manufactures are on Taiwan and our government have special arrangement with them (taiwan). the latest Nvidia or Ati GPU are cost only USD 25 - USD 40 the high spec CPU are cost only USD 150 - USD 200.

Man you must be kidding me. None of the tweaks for you?Very strange What are your specs and Windows? If you are running Vista/7 whats your performance index?
