Hey there.

Have been messing with the product.ini for a while now and have come up with some results.

There are various strings/commands which can be useful to eliminate the frustrating AI. But still, there are various things to be sorted out. So, this might help those who're really looking to edit the ini file.

Some commands are a must. For eg,
ENABLE AVOIDANCE = 0
.

That eliminates the ninja dribble that the AI will use against you to avoid tackles.

The thing that's still bothering me is the amount of effort the AI has put into shooting/ the frequency of shooting. I know there are a lot of commands around but it still remains a major problem. The AI is showing great tendency to walk the ball into the box/6yard area which is totally unrealistic since it doesn't happen often in real life

The commands which I talked about earlier are :

CC_SHOOTING
SHOOTING
SKILLS_LONG_SHOT_TAKER
SKILLS_LONG_SHOTS
SHOOTING_NEUTRAL
DB_TRAIT_LONG_SHOT_TAKER

But, I still need to find out what these do, particularly CC_SHOOTING since it doesn't seem to be doing the job it's supposed to.
And, do any of you guys know how to increase the shooting of the teams without editing the db or messing with the custom tactics?

This is a good idea providing you have received clearance to use this code.

One of the main issues i've found with the AI is that every team will try and play like Barcelona which is totally unrealistic. I tested this theory in career mode with a League 2 team in England and they were all knocking it about like Brazil in the 1970 world cup final.

Do you think there is difference between playing on World Class and playing on Legendary?

Also, i've tried altering the formations and playing styles of some teams in CM12 which helps a bit.

He's alright. Funny but true. Those aren't his codes. I just wrote that last thing in the first post just to make sure. (I have asked him for permission though)

Yes. World Class offers more individual skills by the CPU rather than a fluid team play. Even though Legendary can sometimes get frustrating, it's better. The AI will sometimes move superbly resulting in a class goal. Moreover, it's difficult!

Is CC_SHOOTING a threshold? Setting it to 0 or less than that will increase the CPU shooting frequency? If not, then what will?

Does anybody have an idea how to fix slide tackle issue like the one in the video below? As you can see, there was contact between my defenders and CPU players, but slide tackles was useless! I haven't seen a football game without slide tackle yet, so I think this is a major issue in fifa 12. Stand tackles are much better but they can be improved too.
