Fifa 12 custom chants!

Do they come out randomly, or in the order they're listed all the time? That would spoil what sounds like a great feature. And is there any limit as to how many chants you can have? If not, then Fifa will never, ever sound dull again!!!

The chants come out randomly. About the limit, someone said in a post below that we can´t create more than 255 playlists. Don´t know if this is true and/or that value can be increased. I really hope there aren´t any limit.

Damn, that's not good - it means we'll have to carefully choose which teams we want more detail for. It seems that some leagues are better than others - from what I heard in the demo, there's nothing wrong with the Marseilles chants for example. I'm sure a way will be found to somehow make the database bigger - you found a way with other databases. I really hope so - if you think about it, only having 255 playlists will hamstring the feature a bit - what's the point of going into such detail otherwise? You can literally have chants about any player, any team, the referee, everything! And that's before taking into account the ordinary crowd chants. It might help if we can find a site that has 'generic' sounding chants, that way the same playlist might be able to be used for several teams.

Another thing we need is a site that has entrance music recorded at the stadiums. Seems that EA have done away with the cool 'stadium PA' effect for music, so all entrance music's going to sound like it's coming from a stereo not a stadium.

What sort of chants do you think we should use for the 'losing' section? This site:

is fantastic for chants, but you need to add losing ones as well - if you don't the game becomes very quiet when you're losing, I tested it just now.

One other thing, do you reckon we should add a few blank MP3 files to each list, so they shut the hell up occasionally?

Edit: Is it just me, or even with the User chants turned all the way up, are the chants still a bit quiet?

Is there? That's not good - there's no way we'll be able to do anywhere near all the teams in the game, we'll struggle to do the English leagues with any amount of detail. Isn't there a way to directly replace the chants that came with the game? That would free up some playlists for those who want to add more detailed chants.

Or maybe we have to be a bit realistic - if we have detailed chants for even all of the English teams, just think how much space that's going to take up on your HDD. Now imagine you wanted to do the Spanish and Italian teams as well...

Do you have many chants in playlist...like when i made a playlist for Chelsea chants, i included abt 30-40 chants in it and assign it to almost every option...eg. when you are leading, losing, standard chants etc...in this way the chants will be played most of the time...

Just see the vid at 1:44 i've assigned Chelsea chants to Team defeat, crowd chants and league or cup winning chant...in this way chants frequency during the match will be more

Yep, that's probably the way to go - otherwise we're going to have to make too many playlists.

They're organised into separate folders, but it's probably best to just chuck all the chants in one folder otherwise you'll end up with too many play lists. Enjoy.

In FIFA 10 I had more than 30gb of chants in my HDD.

A generic system like the ones we have had to use with custom tactics in the previous years games is a good idea but won't we still need individual chants for each team anyway. I wasn't even able to give all the leagues I wanted ONLY thier own chants.

Surely Rinaldo will do Sound Master this year, so probably in early 2012 we'll be able to directly introduce chants .

The game has to save the links between the playlists and the teams somewhere.
If we find out where, may be we could add playlists manually instead of using the in-game interface.

Another issue is with the chants themselves - from the site I linked to a lot of them don't sound very good in game - they don't mix in with the background crowd too well. I remember several fantastic chantpacks for PES which did not have that problem - they blended in perfectly; isn't there a way to convert them to Fifa 12? I believe they were from PES 6 and PES 2008.

30gb? In this day and age that's like two particularly big games, but still wouldn't put much of a dent in the remaining space on my 500gb HDD. How many teams and chants did you have down for that then? More or less - I don't expect you to remember an exact number!

Edit: Can you do anything about the away team goal cheer? It should be quieter than the home team, but not that quiet! And now there's a sound of the ball whacking into the adboards, could that be made a bit louder as well? Also, if the 'background crowd sound' could be turned down a little, the chants would sound so much clearer even the default EA ones.

How do you increase the sound of the chants? I barely hear it because of the commentary. But it was awesome. I put chants to Arsenal and when Theo Walcott scored a goal, the crowd chanted "Theo, Theo,Theo". Probably a coincidence though as I put many chants in the playlist. It would be awesome if when one player scores a goal, they can chant his name.

It is possible - but the problem is the limited amount of play lists - you would literally have to make a separate playlist for each player(!) It's a great feature EA, but surely there's an easier way to do this?

I'm also experiencing the same problems as another poster on here. My imported chants work fine, until the first goal. After that it's just the standard crowd.

Anybody know what the deal is with that?

I'm now experiencing that as well and I have assigned all the crowd chants to losing, winning, entry etc so it shouldn't be happening.

Is that freeware and if so, is there a way to take all the chants and automatically make them 6dB loud? Doing them one by one will take ages...

Also - has anyone ever heard anything that they put in the 'unpopular referee' playlist? I think that playlist can be used for all English clubs because we all yell the same sort of stuff at the ref when he cocks up.

Has anyone got this working properly yet? When I say that, I mean so that the chants are working under all scenarios. I can usually get chants going at the beginning of the game, but when the first goal goes in they disappear. Also, I've never heard anything from the 'unpopular referee decision' section. What about away fans' chants - do they work? There's not much point if you only ever hear the home fans.

Hello guys,

I still have the problem that fifa just shows me some playlists in game.
So fifa only shows me 2-3 playlists and not the whole amount of them.
I already did all tutorials and none of them worked for me.
Can somebody help me? Somebody with the same problem?

increasing the volume of entrance and goal songs using a program like mp3gain works, but not with the chants. It looks like the game auto adjust the voulme automatilcy. (i can hear them by 1s at edited volume but then they volume drop.)

There should be any parameter in rna.ini we can add to make them louder.

Yeah, I think the 'custom chants' slider isn't working - I have tried turning it up to the maximum and the chants are still too quiet. I tried increasing their volume with Audacity and they're still too quiet - only now they're more bloody distorted. As you said, it appears the game adjusts the volume to whisper level despite what you do with the sliders.

I think the whole system needs an update where u can select your audio files from a folder or where you can put them in a fifa audio folder.
Ea made something like a audiobeta which we have to test...waiting for the update...
