FIFA 12: No Surround Sound Option, Help

For some reason, FIFA 12 does not have a surround sound setting. An obvious issue for those of us who have surround connected to our computers. Is there any way to enable it, or do the files from FIFA 11 work somehow? I do not have FIFA 11, but someone on the EA forum said he used an .ini file from that game it it "just works".

Has anyone figured out how to do this or does anyone have this file?

Thanks for trying this. What a letdown if there is no way around this. Playing the early season ticket version on the 360, the audio was awesome.

Hy, I'm having the same problem. At first it worked in 5.1 surround sound just copying the buttons setup from fifa 11. But from a time arround it stopped working in 5.1 and it just make sounds the 2 front speakers. I don't know why.
If anyone has a solution please post it.

I ve found this line on ea forum: NUMBER_SPEAKERS = 5
try typing it in fifasetup.ini
only difference in my fifas sound is that now all five speakers does the job,, but still no surround unforunatly..

no 5.1 sound with fifa 13

I play fifa 13 on pc and I have only stereo sound though I have Logitech 5.1 sound. All my other games work with 5.1 sound except fifa 13
When I do a testing from realtek audi panel all the speakers work 5.1 ...
