FIFA 12 Online - your race to division one

Hi. I it can be a good thread. everyone will tell us about his matches in the online mode, like this amazing channel:


Ok, I'll be the first.
In my first try to get promoted to div. 1 I played with Barcelona and City, but most of the matches until div 1 were with Barca.
So when I reached division one i found that my tactics and formations are not so good to play with barca, so i played with madrid :X . but i won, after all.

2nd try, i wanted to play with 4 star team. i took Aston Villa and won again the championship with great wins over Barcelona and Real Madrid, and i also won teams like Rubin/Anzhi/Newcastle/Bayer and more teams.

Now my next challenge is to win with 3 stars team, but it is h-a-r-d. I won with Barca B Energie Cottbus, but lost agains Nurnberg and HSV.

I ordered from eBay xbox controller for my PC. this is another challenge, to win with xbox controller. I'v been playing with keyboard for all my life, but now in FIFA 11 and 12 i know keyboard is sh*t.


Now it's you-tell about your games you did/do/doing or will do or tell how angry FIFA makes you. I hope this thread will be opened for long time.

I'll play along: my journey is very different than yours. I'm a new fifa player and I've learned 95% with online matches. So my win loss record is horrible. I've been promoted 4 times and relegated twice. I've made it all the way to 8th division which seems to be where I'm hitting a celing for my talent level right now.

I've used a combination of Man City, Man United and USA with only one or 2 other teams sprinkled in... (spain for 2 games and cameroon for 1). I've played most with Man and then City. I've currently played with Man City and am on a horrendous streak of losses but have played either far higher ranked players or have had some really bad luck cost me.

After being relegated back to 10th division I switched full time to Man Utd where I spent 2 seasons tearing through the lower divisions going on one span of 7 games without a loss. Using the 3-5-3 with United (not sure their suited for it but the players ratings pregame seem to indicate that it fits), we are a team that often gets goals in bunches but may play in control of the entire game and not get great chances too.. Man Utd seem to have a very strong Defense. Valencia, Rooney and Vidic perform well for me and Hernandez isn't a bad finisher. Midfield: Nani wears down in his roll with me unless I put him on wing which he likes better.

We went on a severe dry spell with United and I switched to Man city where we're getting lots and lots of chances and playing frenzied football but just not getting the win. I'm using an aggressive style since we have a deep bench and we have lots of talent spread across the pitch.... Of all the teams that I've used, I've enjoyed Man City for a couple of reasons.... They don't get pushed around by NOBODY! Yaya in mid field and Kompany and crew in back are as big and strong as it comes. No headders get by and if they can body you up, it's over! They also have pacy strikers and even though I find that I miss far more with Man City's strikers, I think it's mainly me.... I seem to be able to score more when I have the chance with Rooney and crew.

I'm hopefull that we'll soon find form and be able to stay in div 8. If not, I'm confident we'll tear back thru div 9 and get our act together. I believe I'm sticking with Man City for now. I think I should just take one and stick to it. I play the 4-2-2-2 with City and I'm easily able to get to the wings with the ball. I just still can't score on a stinking cross... BUT DID WITH ONE corner!!!! Way to go Kompany!

i recomend you to use Aston Villa, because they have 5 fast players that can easily cut the opponent slow defence with chip over it. good luck!

Are you guys using Live season Updates to update your team for your run through the head to head seasons? Does that even work and is it worth the effort?
