FIFA 13 & PES 2013 Quick Graphics & Gameplay Comparison

Hope im posting this in the right section=)

Made a quick comparison of fifa and pes, in my opinion fifa clearly comes out the winner. What do you think?

I find PES better at night, and FIFA better at day. Much better shadings and lighting in FIFA during day matches, absolutely beautiful. But I hate FIFA at night. That's my view.

PES graphics are last-gen bad regardless of day or night. Loved the PES 2013 demo gameplay for the most part, but the circa-2002 look and sound of the game is so god-awful dull, I just can't bring myself to buy it anymore.

Pes is ONLY better in stadiums, the stadiums in Pes are more realistic, size, details etc etc... but that's all.
In all the other sucks!!

PES 2013 wins

As always PES 2013 surely wins. I have played both FIFA 13 and PES 2013. and I gotta say PES 2013 gameplay is fantastic and more lifelike than FIFA 13.
and about the graphics, again PES 2013 has done a excellent job keeping the colors fresh and pleasing to the eye!

I think too that PES graphics are better.But gameplay is a little better on FIFA.
The only concern about fifa gameplay is the long range shoots.I would like them more powerfull and more accurated.This can be fixed with the in-game sliders.

Totally agree with you on the graphics. I feel that fifa's manager mode plays a bit nicer than Pes's manager mode, but I havent gone put alot of time in to see if they improved it over pes 2012 yet.

PES animation suck like robot play with the ball.
please hire your new staff for animation pls konami.

PES 2010 & PES 2011 are acceptable but 2012 & 2013 are awfull...i cannot bring myself to play it anymore...

I'm not playing pes since PES2008.
After the PES6, PES serials are just the games about bunch of rooborts marching on the field.
And you guys obviously are joking when say that PES13 has a better graph.

Sorry, playing both games exclusively and people around here should know me a bit I can tell you that on PITCH Pro Evolution plays like real football. Tactics matter, players matter, teams matter, AI, variety of goals and options you have with the ball are limitless.

Sure it's not perfect out of the box, definitely shines more on PC than consoles, with mods, patches, etc.

PES day lightning looks v. good, player models, faces look also way better than on FIFA (which to me, looks plastic and cartoony as hell).

That's about it. Great gameplay mechanics, ruined by lacking animation engine (hopefully, changes regarding this will come next year with FOX), lacking game modes and shabby online doesn't help. This year I just cannot get into Pro Evo at all, not because gameplay is bad, but because of ruined Master League (annoying bootgate, player development, form inconsistency, broken stamina system, awful night lightning :/).

FIFA 13 on pitch is not as good, plays like end-to-end action game, midfield battles are not there at all, you can get fast to goal with 2-3 passes. Defenders AI in your team who constantly play attackers onside is absurd (online!!!), goalkeepers online are a joke (offline they turn into superheroes at times, but online... Tragedy).

EA servers disconnecting, etc. Yes, it's all about online. Why? Because FIFA 13 promotes online gaming vs other people. VP is online only too this year.
Playing FIFA 13 vs AI turns into boring fest very soon. And it's not down to sliders and such as that doesn't help the game. In fact most people don't know if sliders have huge affect on game or not and are changing them constantly like ADHD kids :LOL:

Hopefully we can get more with Fidel/Regularcat DB editing and making teams play in realistic way. (yes, you read this, Stoke players shouldn't be able to do Iniesta sharp turns, roulettes and other ****. This is NOT their play style).

Seriously though, if you want to know both games well, play them. If you're a fan of only 1 football game, then stick with it. Don't bother coming on and bashing other title after playing 1-5 games. I played over 10 seasons on FIFA 13 (Career Mode is great, polished up), 6 on PES 2013 (yuck like said before, but found a little fix with jenkey tool to use real boots in ML).

Both games are great at what they offer and both do well to cater the fans they are made for.

If you take FOOTBALL into consideration and like to think on the pitch, rent PES for a while.

If you like ACTION get FIFA. I love them both .

you said for what i did not find the right words (cartoony, I like that, it's horrible, playing pes I sometimes had the impression of watching a match on tv, you know, better graphics, awesome replays and so on)

all you said about fifa is right, absolutly right. I would say it with this words: PES: Football Simulation (as it is meant to be) FIFA: Football game (much more fun, but not realistic)

I think konami and ea should work together (Pro Evolution FIFA, sounds great, doesn't it?) to make a complete and almost perfect S i m u l a t i o n

I used to play PES in the previous years, but now it doesnt seem the PES i used to play. I dont rly like the new gameplay, it fills slow and players like Messi and Ronaldo have the same pace as defenders? wth? Shooting always goes on target, etc

The only thing i enjoy about PES are the player models, and stadiums wich look god damn nice.
