with 0.63 what blender should i use? i tried 1.68 and 67b but it wont import the models, only the files i can see

I have a problem when i click Assign Created Materials. I'm using Blender 2.70 and this message appeared:

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "fifa_tools\scripts\fifa_operators.py", line 418, in invoke
obj.data.materials.append(bpy.data.materials[obj.name.split(sep='_')[0]+'_'+obj.name.split(sep='_')[1]])

Arianos, can you take a look to this head:

Its Luiz Gustavo' head and when I import it in Blender with your script everything looks fine and I can edit everything I want. So I edit some parts and I export the file, the script says that the file is export correctly. But when I open the edited head file into a new Blender session Gustavo' head is messed up. I have made tons of faces this year with you amazing script and everything went fine, always. But this is the first head which messed up when I export it....Maybe it is a weird file (like Gareth Bale' head before) and you may able to fix it?

Both should work ok. The use pretty much the same python API so you should not have any problem with any of them. I basically create the script in 1.67 and test it in 1.68. You probably haven't installed the script correctly.

I have no idea why this is happening. Are you should you have checked the import materials flag and that you have selected a valid textures file ?

Too generic problem, i can't figure out what is going on wrong. The fault is triggered on the model conversion function, but i can't tell you exactly what is going on :S:S

Are you using the Overwriter?

Hm... Weird, i can think of a possible error but i am not sure about it and i also have not the required time to check it right now. Hopefully i'll check it out in the upcoming days.



Tomorrow is my last day of exams (and hopefully my last exams for the bachelor degree :P), so from now on i can spare some more time to work on the script again, fix and add some more stuff in. Most of the things that should be implemented are fixes though, but these are important as well :D


Anyway more news soon :D

i recently made obj. file using facegen. using blender 2.7, i uploaded a an rx3 file, then imported the obj. file, rewrited the obj. head and eyes file as head_0_0_head, head_0_1_eyes. deleted the rx3 file, changed the uv to map 0 for both head and eye file. but when i tried to export it an error occured.

i followed the instructions by Sepak on his thread in moddingway.

can anyone help me.

i am new in blender. i installed your importer/exporter and i've followed the steps of your tutorial.
when i click "import" i get error message.
what is wrong?



edit: it works. i didn't start blender as admin

First of all. The tool is working so fine. It is and awesome way to do stadiums from scratch and exactly as we want. Some examples here:

I have some things to improve yet, but the results are very good.
Well. I have 2 questions.
1.-How can i make a new template from an EA stadium
2.- I have a model and textures for a ball, but no matter what i do i can't export nothing but corrupted files. I think i did everything is wrote in this post. Is anybody willing to do the convertion for me? I will send the 3ds file and the texture. please.

i have successfully converted an obj file to an rx3 file, took me a lot of hours to do so, its a bit complicated, but i managed to do it, i dunno how it works, but it works!. i will post it here, once i have time,

it happened to me too, and i have managed to do it successfully, but the process is complicated, ill try to help you out mate, once i finished my tutorial for this method.

who's facegen model set did you use? I use Sepak model set on the first time I start to make face and I have the same problem like you but now Im used son_of_god & sam_red devil and It's worked fine just uploaded the rx3 file, then imported the obj. file, rewrited the obj. head and eyes file as head_0_0_head, head_0_1_eyes. deleted the rx3 file, doesn't need to changed the uv to map 0 for both head and eye file.

i used SEPAK'S latest head file, where did u downloaded ur model, care to share the link, maybe ill give it a try,
