FIFA 14 Better Career Patch

Hi beta99 I noticed in CProgram Files (x86)\Origin Games\FIFA 14\Game\dlc\dlc_FootballCompEng\dlc\FootballCompEng\data\compdata

there is file formasetting Did u work in that? I noticed that the players CPU in career mode have ever low arrow ,I think it is better if u can do it to have forma setting the same beetween User and CPU. TY

Guys, I am totally new to applying moddingway mods, I might need a little help.
I always used to edit my team roster via CM by Rinaldo, He's back and am happy. But now with moddingway's updated DB, how do I edit the team and player ratings via CM? There are lots of .db files in the game directory. CM asks us to open an .xml and a .db file to edit anything. So which one do I choose (which .db) Like I said earlier, there are a lot of .db files (FIFA14 > GAME > DATA > DB > MODDINGWAY > 0.db, 1.db, 2.db and backup.db ) which one do I pick in CM and edit? Also which .xml file to pick?

Please help a fellow newcomer! Smile

Your last release works fine for me. Did some little tweaks to growth and retirement, but still testing to find perfect settings for me.

No bugs or crashes experienced so far.

Can you please tell me what tool you used to regenerate? I used i68Regenerator 4.1 and most features of Modding Way Mod were gone after regeneration.
I tried using FHL-BH, MW Mod remains intact, but this patch doesnt work (when I go to edit teams>transfers, the squad limit is 42).
I really wanna use both, but cant seem to be able to do that...

- Copy and install moddingway mod 0.5 & 0.6 again like usual, then regenerate using i68Regenerator all boxes set to green.

Some info for moddingway users that want to use this mod:
- Install moddingway according to the readme
- Set your things (scoreboard, pitch, roosters, etc.) and apply this
- Install my mod
- Run i68Regenerator with all boxes set to green.

This should work. If not, clear out your FIFA 14 documents folder.
Note: this was tested by myself with FIFA 13

Could you tell me what things you have changed?

It's ok to mod things yourself. I will try to add more comments in the files when I have more time, to make things a bit easier.

PS. I have released V5:
Improve player morale and tweaked some (very) small values.

I really like the concept of your patch.
I can't use the regenerator so i use the Fifa file loader.
I have now the 40 Player Squad and Youth Players till the age of 19 are scouted. But i don't see a difference in the player growth. Is there a way to change the attributes to a 'extreme' amount so i can see if there will be any difference?

Also is it possible to add to your patch that youth player will have more then one specific position? I can't understand what EA was thinking when they decided that youth players can only play at one position that is more then stupid...

Edit: nvm to the last one, i just saw it is already added. but at the moment the scouted youth players are worser then without the patch. (e.g the average player i now get has a overall of 35-56; with potential not over 84 while before it was like 62-72 with potential of 89-94 is that normal? anyway great work!

Yeah, it is normal when the player you scouted is young.

- What is the age of the player?
- What is the level of your scout (how many stars)?
- What version are you using?

Hey Beta,

I'm still suffering from that stupid AI cheating in CM gameplay not that much I did before but it's still present. Just winning against Man City 3-1 and then playing the FA Cup in Middlesbrough losing 0-2 (both played as Everton).
The AI definitely was boosted when I was playing Middlesbrough (tacklings wouldn't work, every shot on goal by them was dangerous, etc) exactly the opposite to the Man City match (which ain't realistic either)

Do you improve that further?

I think thats more to do with AI mods to fix that and custom team default pressure settings from database.

Maybe check out the Ai mods and see.

I don't need new gameplay though, just removed AI cheating. All the gameplay patches are changing gameplay as a whole...

If you had downloaded the mod (.zip file) you would have found a file inside named cmsettings.ini. When you open this file in a text editor, you change settings. Like the one a told you in a previous post. Remember to regenerate after.

Ok, I think a know what you mean. This is not only an issue with my tweaks, but also with fifadb. I will add this to the list of fixes need to be done. Will try to add this in the new version. You could also test it yourself by setting values higher/lower in playergrowth.ini. Please check this topic, there's a post about it.

I started a new career first ,squad size was 40 was using v3 rc1 ..then i dwnlded v5 of ur career edit and also tweaked some settings in player growth ...so these settings will get applied to the career i just started or i have to start a new career to see the changes i made???????

Also can u give the tweaked settings for young goalkeepers growth i cant seem to figure it out
