I also followed every single step of your tutorial, but as alex94 mentioned when you only check the "texture" box you will get a head_xxxxxx_0.rx3 file while you want a texture rx3 file. I managed do get such a file by also checking the "hair" option. The texture file seems okay when I open it in CM, but ingame i still have black hair!! Can you please help me it would be much appreciated :)

THe black hair has to do with a bug on ariano's tool. I think this method that Sepak use can't fix it.

For hair model use 0.51 version and for hair texture use 0.63 version.........

+1, just make two copies of blender and put in o.51 in one and 0.63 in the other for convenience

Just one more thing. I have many hairs made with 0.63v, do I have to remake them on 0.51 version or can I use right away Sepak's method?

the problem wih the 0.63 is the hair, not the texture.

    Guys any help please,
I have blender o.63 and couldn't figure out for ages why after I edited hair models they came out not edited in game and with black textures. THat was until I read this thread, thanks, I now have v0.63 in its folder, also 0.51 and even 0.50 but no matter which ones I use to edit the hair models, re-importing to blender or trying directly in the game results in no edit, it hasn't changed to what I just edited and did, even with 0.51. At the moment I am using a work around by slightly scaling the head model till it fits inside properly the hair model which works fine but obviously not the way I want to do it.

    Any suggestions or help!

this tutorial is to create good hair textures to avoid shiny hairs ingame, the import/export tool has a bug for hairs and that is what is causing the issue. use v0.51 for the hairs

Dude, just wrote in my reply, read it, also have 0.51, 0.50 too tried all of them without success, hair models don't change, they stay the same. Spent about 8 hours last night with this.

you need to remake the models entirely, you can't redit previously edited models and expect them to be alright in different scripts, mate
