No, but after some editing yes they work.

- you need to use fifa crowd converter tool and import 14 crowd and click convert it and tool will export it so it can be used in 16 (some stadium crowd will have bug mostly when have big tribunes)
- you need to rename glares to be like 16 but it will look like light is low but im ok with that
- you need to remove fifa 14 goalposts in blender (or replace texture of goalpost with jenkeys fifa explorer tool) and this is problem, when you do that there is chance that stadium will have light bug (that ugly greenish/pink light).

Its very easy to do all this stuff but biggest problem is that you will have sometimes no but sometimes yes that light bug which is unplayable for me.

I've used several F14 stadiums before and, like you said, the light bug is annoying.

I wonder if it's possible to keep the goal posts in the model, but just make their textures transparent... Anyone ever tried?

But i getting same thing. Even if i replace textures with CGFE or Jenkey's tool game sometimes still have that bug.

There is another way to remove goalposts in fifa 16 (but keeping a specific goalpost in the stadium - instead of using the EA default ones) .. You don't need to touch the texture but the model... and you can do it in two ways

- reducing all to a single invisible point and overwriting.. you cannot remove any vertex or face with the overwrting function of the exporter but you can reduce the object until it is invisible
or
- substitute the model with an empty texture (1 single empty dds image of the same size of the main image of the goalpost texture) andgthen you can put transparent texture without any light bug

I use this system to have customized goalposts with squared poles and crossbar for example in every old stadium.. something not easy to do just modifiying and overwriting the external file while in a stadium object I can do whatever I want. And no light bug at all... It comes perfect

Not yet because it is part of the Classic Patch Project and I have to wait the release of the update by the main creators of the patch.. It is a matter of respect.. Even if I created the specific goalposts it is part of a bigger project..
