FIFA 14 Update

I opened FIFA 14 shortly before and began updating (115.98 mb).
What details? Does anyone know?

- a new DB, the "cards_ng_db.db" (patch.big)
- a new "main.big" (patch.big)
- 2 new kits for the Team ID 1598

hehe, I will probably go online with my vanilla folder to grab this (backup first though). Just to see what mess awaits

Patch.big isnt so bad as that can be worked out, although the exe update will be an interesting one.

Hmmm I wonder if they fixed the custom chants slider ... will check later.

I mean with moddingway patch 0.8.5 and with andreapirlo last gameplay patch,my game was like a dream, like in demo (players movement). Now,after EA update,i feel again fifa13 style.

There is a way to revert to fifa 1.02 version with all files unchanged? I tried system restore to an earlier time but no success.

Dont "pal" me, and dont assume I need to stay calm, I was calm as I posted. I posted a smile as a "maybe" so its no accusation (IT WAS POSED AS A QUESTION) just a "possible" -

Anyway "pal" .. you didn't back up before running update, so its very hard to revert back the files that have now been modified other then removing "patch.bin" & "patch.bh" although exe and other files surrounding it cant revert back.

Things that would effect AI mods are the attrib files & DB/folders in the patch file, so use filemaster 14 and extract the patch.bin, then place its contents into your "game" folder & regen (other than all attrib & DB folder) then you get the patch update but suck out the attribs that patch used to basicly turn it back to 13 (and the DB in the patch) that wont clash with AI mods. Thats the only way now you have updated already (and what I have done).

This would be for offline use of course. BTW why are you using online download with AI mods, best thing to do is duplicate your fifa14 folder and have the modded offline and default vanilla online, that's what I do, then you can keep older files and combinations in one and use the vanilla as the update folder.

There is an option in you Origin settings to turn of auto updates, but to be honest duplicating the folder is best. IE if you have unpatched vanilla game now, copy its folder somewhere as a vanilla backup and then keep that safe, then run updates on current folder.

As a side note all files that were updated are date 25/10/13 - so search files on that date to see what's what as its a little more than just patch files & exe.

True but this is just a forum and your taking someone's words for it to be true and anyone can bullshit the internet, be smarter .. and make backups!!!

Anyway it is frustrating about the way Origin works and no rolling back, so I get that for origin users, yet another example of why these locked in type digital systems arent always in place for the end users benefit, update options or not, becuase it can and will catch people out not knowing when an update will come and not realising the default update switch is on. The only good thing that EA did is put majority of AI editing into patch.bin files so at least that's a kind of roll back.

Me too man. Now i search for an alternative solution:from pirated game i will copy some files into my origin game.than apply MW and andreapirlo and i will se what is happen.And i am a foul,i have to admit,because i forgot to save entire fifa14 game... too sad
