Anybody experimented with Gameplay Customization of FIFA 14 Demo? Well, if you did and you adjusted your sliders the way you find it most suitable, realistic and, after all, better then default gameplay, please share it and discuss.

A lot of the sliders have to do with personal preference: speed accel for example. But the line height and line length sliders can fundamentally alter the gameplay from a strategic perspective. I play with user height and length sliders at 0. What this does is it forces my players to come back deep and protect my end of the pitch. Great for playing on higher difficulty levels where the CPU always seems to play in full-attack mode.

Agree. I'm trying to get more PES-like positioning, as much as it can get close to it, but EA improved positioning and marking by default.

True, I've noticed that and have been experimenting with CPU line sliders. Some very nice improvements to FIFA 14 in that regard.

Do people mod demos? Do they create gameplay mods, and add teams, kits, players and stadiums? Do the guys over at Evo-Web go nuts modding the PES demos that come out? Of course they do, always. So why should editing sliders be any different?

Unless you mean the fact that you cant save setting? Well, you can ... so why not, seriously.

Also people want to know with new speed and anims what it takes with sliders for the results, you know, testing things so you can see if its worth purchasing ... the reason you have a demo to try before you buy.

I always feel with these sliders like a cheater. I would much more appreciate when ea had insert something similar to each teams settings. (It is the same in the end, but well, just for the feeling.)

The CPU cheats on World Class and Legendary difficulty, so why would it be cheating to use sliders and db edits to make the gameplay balanced and fair?

Example: When I played the default demo on Legendary, I'd always lose 3-0, 4-0, 5-0 in a 6 minute game. Now with edits and sliders and playing 30 minute games (15 minute halfs), I only lose 2-0. Much better! (Y)

Can someone explain to me what exactly these three mean? I never get into it what means how far they stand away from the goal, how far they stand away from each other and the third aspect I don't know what I should mean altogether

Line height is how high the defensive line is.
Line length is how spread out or how compact the defensive shape is -- how far away the strikers are from the back line.
Line width is how wide or narrow the defensive line is -- how close each defender is from the next.

Line height and length control how far up the pitch your team will position themselves, and how deep they'll come back to help defend. Line width is how wide they stretch from sideline to sideline. I have some screens to demonstrate, I'll post them.

AP, something needs to be clarified here because line sliders work differently depending on which end of the pitch you're talking about. If I set my line height and length to 0, my players stay packed together in my end. But they spread out in the CPU's end of the pitch. My FWs will push up into the CPU's box, but my CBs will stand at midfield and won't come any closer than that. The other extreme is they all push up into the CPU's end, but then the FWs don't come back to defend. This is why FIFA sliders are set on 50, which spreads players out evenly (and unrealistically) on both sides of the pitch.

The sliders are actually broken in that regard, kind of like the way the pass, cross and dribble ratings are broken. The whole engine needs to be dumped for NG IMO.

But can you tell me which one is vertical and which horizontal? that's my basic problem because I can't change language (I think) to english

In my game, they're listed Height followed by Length, then Width. So I would guess Vertical is Height and Horizontal is Length.
