@krisaju95

Thanks so much for the reply! So I need to choose an alternative model because I chose to fit a hair model that does not contain lashes? What if I were to import a hair model with a base object containing lashes, fit the object to to the head, delete the second object, import the model that I have fitted and would like to use, delete its base object, merge and export? Would I still run into the vertice limitation issue? Probably so, but I'll try it just in case.

Glad to hear that about the hairlod rx3s.

Thanks again,

Carson

Yes, that is correct.

It's better to avoid deleting or creating new vertices/objects as they are bound to waste your time by crashing the game. Have a go in any case as you said and let us know the results here if successful

Didn't work :(

I have found an alternative hair model and I have managed to fit the base object (the one that contains the eyelashes and which "hugs" the head model), but I am having a hell of a time fitting the other object (the one that sits atop the base object and adds detail -- and I think allows the hair to move dynamically in-game).

My method for fitting the base model is to select all vertices except for the lashes, assign them to a group, and then use the shrink-wrap modifier to scale the object to the head. Doing this with the other object creates problems, though, as it flattens out the meshes and deforms them. Does anyone have any advice on fitting this object to a head model (or base object of the hair model)?

Thanks

I just fit the hair using Sculpt Mode. It's a lot of work but it's more efficient than any other method that's been shown in SG, atleast imo

That is exactly what I ended up doing... your right, it was a lot of work. Once I overcame my laziness, though, I managed to get it to fit ;)

Thanks for the advice.

Hi, I'm trying to export a face.
I've imported the head and eyes .obj, exported by FaceGen, and the template head_1_0.rx3 file.
Then adjusted the vertex color and tried exporting in object mode.

Then I got this error:

Is there any way to add eyelashes to a hair model that does not already contain them? As was mentioned above, deleting or adding vertices is not supported by Arianos' 3d model plugin for Blender... does this mean that we cannot create completely new hair models?

Thanks,

Carson

Yes, all of that is impossible for now.
Arianos is working on a way to do this by studying the models but it'll be very hard.
So let's just wait and see.

I was having the same issue. Re-coded told me to save the minifaces directly into the Game Directory

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\FIFA 15\data\ui\imgAssets\heads"

as a .dds format file and then regenerate. The file should be "p<id>.dds
i.e., if the player's id is 123456, then the name of the file should be p123456.dds . You can find a dds plugin for photoshop via Google.
. Haven't got a chance to try it out but let me know if it works.

I'm trying to convert old FIFA faces that work on FIFA 14, I had those problems:

1 - Without the bump file I see a generic face on CM15
2 - With the bump file I can see the face on CM15, but in FIFA15 I see this:

3 - With bump and player.lua files loaded, the game crashes.

IMHO the prolems is player.lua, that need to be converted in FIFA15 format, is there someone who can help me?

Here is the player file:

Can somebody tell me how to build a model with an open mouth ( teeth showing ) ?

Use either the Smooth Tool in Sculpt Mode and zoom in close with ur mouse on the lips, making sure when u reach the teeth, not to smooth out the teeth...or...use Edit Mode, and select and move each of the vertices of the mouth to open up the mouth with teeth showing ;)

Hope I helped mate :)

I have a bit of an issue with a face I've edited:

Whenever the player smiles or makes an open mouth gesture, it looks as though the top of his jaw is coming through his cheeks. I can post a screenshot, but I was just seeing if anyone has encountered this issue.

Thanks

Carson

that happens. it's because of EA's stupid animations. But go ahead and post a preview, just to make sure i have understood what you're talking about

I have just reinstalled windows 7 and everything. My blender (2.71) now keeps reloading on the taskbar. The program is still on but my work is suddenly stopped because the mouse pointer is out of control from the blender browser. I need to click on blender browser again to continue my work. Does anyone get an idea?
