FIFA 16 Impressions (Demo/Full Game)

Looks like EA finally realised that short names in FIFA always look like crap and finally fixed it after years of being lazy to make such an easy fix.

Does FIFA 16 look like a worthwhile buy, or should I wait until FIFA 17?
Ha-ha! EA improves it slightly every year, just enough to get you wondering if you should buy it. It's definitely better than 15, but apart from the improved visuals it's the same poorly coded CPU gameplay. I would say it's worth it for online, probably not worth it if you play vs CPU.

I mod the heck out of it, and as such usually don't play online.

So, I just downloaded the "Pre-Load" of Fifa16 ( I'm in UK ) and the game doesn't unlock till 24th for us, So I used "Softether VPN" which is a free open source VPN from a University in Japan, chose a South Korean VPN, logged into Origin, Clicked "Reload Games" and lo and behold FIFA 16 full game is now unlocked and I can play no problem.

First game is Tottenham v Aston Villa at White Hart Lane in the fog ! which looked awesome, but why the F@@@ is the game speed miles faster than the demo? Even on slow, which I always use and used for the demo.

I thought the pacing of the demo was PERFECT on slow, but the full game seems miles faster. I'm playing v CPU on World Class, which doesn't feel anywhere near as "Cheaty" as last year, which is good......but the Speed ! Is it just me or anyone else notice this?

That's nothing new. The Demo plays better than the final product every year. Couldn't tell you why EA do it..

On the note of VPNs, I was gonna buy 16 off the Mexican Origin like I heard some people doing last year (it's 40$.) Just wanted to ask does this cause any issues for updating the game or playing online etc.? Sorry I know it's not related to the thread but I didn't want to make thread just for this question

EDIT: Brazil's Origin lists it for R$ 129.90 which is almost 29 euro, and it's multi-language too. Russia is even cheaper but don't support English

I bought Fifa 16 Pre-order from G2A about a week ago which cost me £25.80. They sent me my key this afternoon and it worked with no problem.

I have bought Far Cry 4 from Indian Origin as a pre-order and it cost me £18. Now, Origin had no problem activating the key, but UPLAY told me it was region locked, so I had to use another Indian VPN to activate it on UPLAY. Once it was activated the one time, i DIDN'T need a VPN to play it through my UK UPLAY account.

I also bought Fifa 14 from NUUVEM in Brazil and that cost me £20 and worked without a problem, but as far as I'm aware, NUUVEM have cracked down on this.

Geo-Region buying keys is a grey area at best and MAY go against the Terms and Conditions of whoever the publisher is. You can NEVER guarantee that buying a cheap key or Digital Download is going to work correctly or not be blocked, so be warned !

The problem is, especially in the UK, we get completely shafted on prices for software compared to the US and other regions ( although I think it's a lot worse for people in New Zealand and Australia ).

I have 2 accounts on my PS4, one UK and one US. I bought Bloodborne Digital from US store for $59.99 which at the current exchange rate is about £39.........which makes me wonder why the UK Playstation store sells it for £54.99.........which is equal to $84.50.

Until games companies manage to get some sort of Universally fair pricing model, I will continue to get keys and digital downloads from wherever i can manage to get it cheapest. If that means that one day I buy a key and I'm unable to get it to register, then so be it, I would have saved money in the long run, but this is a debate for another thread I think.

I was thinking about buying from G2A but i heard it can result in Origin banning your account, as well as issues when trying to activate keys and so on. I'll read a little into Brazil's since it's the cheapest option. Thanks for the feedback.

Finally, tried extensively Fifa 16 retail version post patch on PS4 with a friend who owns it.
I can confirm on Pro difficulty (player vs CPU) the game is really easy, too much easy, more more likely that in the demo, because of changes in "error trap" after patch day one.
You score when you want, because of the lack of AI pressure.
Tried to increase Marking slide to 75 and it becomes playable...
World class is off for me, too difficult.
Even the gameplay speed is just a bit faster, but acceptable (i reduce Sprint speed and acceleration speed to 49, both sides)
Also passing speed to 40..
In the demo everything was perfect.
I'm a bit disappointed, but not too much..

I do not know if the day one patch on PS4 is mandatory in order to play the game, even only offline
I'd like to skip it, if possible ..
Any tip?

no kidding..the majority of gamers do want an arcade type of game and that is why the final version is tweaked as it is.

The majority of true football fans would like to play a simulation...... Which is slower.

Correct... about 5% of the people who play sports games, the rest want fast fast fast GOOOOOOALSSSSSSS! Ever watched two teenagers play EA's NHL game? Like watching two coke heads.

The full game have the same speed like demo, which is a good point for me. Lower speed/acceleration by default make a better pace. Another thing, for the first time in fifa i noticed a very good and balanced difficulty on world class, ofc with marking sliders adjusting for everyone taste. And the surprise, a good one, at least for me, womens gameplay seems to be a pleasure to play, ending with girls movement on the pitch. This is how a football game should look and i wonder why EA doesnt implemented on man gameplay too. Simply i can not understand. So, we need to do it for ourself, i don`t know how. Maybe bangus is right when he said all the time, the secret is in lowering players stats. I noticed a good, smoothest pleasuring gameplay when teams are from south america or european inferior leagues. Or maybe is just in players height/phisics proportion. So, at the end i will say on entirely this is a improved fifa15, with one exception:womens gameplay. Cheers.

You never got me. I said "I like fast speed- faster speed" But I never mentioned about fast goals. I prefer fast speed but dont like fast build ups, goals, run and gun etc.

The main problem of these games are when I play in hard difficulty- my goal keepers act like dumb and cant save simple shots whereas opponent GK save everything. Playing in bit low difficulty makes it opposite.
