    So it begins. http://www.videogamer.com/ps4/fifa_16/news/fifa_17_built_on_frostbite_engine_not_ignite_report.html

Hopefully the Pc version will end up being good. Maybe modding will be hard since file structures might be different.

Useful informations, last updated on 5th October 2016:

    ●The game isn't moddable yet.

●The LoDs still sux like Fifa 16. And there's no fix currently.

    ●Downsampling works fortunately.

    ●The gameplay isn't bad.

●Some users are unable to play the game in Fullscreen

●The game is around 30 GB and is nowhere near 50 GB yet.

●Fifa 17 to 16 DB (Database) conversions are from Xbox 360/Ps3 versions of Fifa 17.

●To have 60 fps during cutscenes, select no limit on Fps in Fifa settings. And enable Vsync through GPu driver or any other external software (Example: Radeon Pro or Nvidia Inspector).

●The issues of catalogue boots update on PC is still unknown.

More infos will be added, incase there's one.

That is the same engine as battlefield, I don't know if I like the idea.

I think I can agree with you. Frostbite might improve graphics. But it isn't an engine dedicated for sports. Might end up like fox. But Fifa 17 had a bit more time for development:

Maybe it might end up being good or just end with all the graphics and gameplay being transferred to a new engine.

Every year is the same megalomanic announcment from EA : "pure shoot , revolutionary goalkeepers ,etc." , but in the end all is just smoke.
The ideea is that you just can't make huge leaps from one year to the next , it's a continuous process of evolution step by step.
People at EA should take up politics , because there is the domain for grand and in the end false promisses.
It would be better if they would just say "we'll try to improve some graphics , movement , etc., and wait for consumer opinion for next updates or future serries" , I would feel more apreciated and give them my money with no regret , because they are realistic , but that is not the case noe.
Anyway , despite the new engine , I believe we shal see a slighhtly improved game in graphics for sure , and maybe some minor things in gameplay , but that's it. And off course , the ever present blunders , wich you can be sure , there will be.
About modding , probably it won't be such a dramatic change in file structure , but this is not the real concern , there are a few talented people here anf it will be ok from this point.
So , time to be patient and wait...

Looks amazing but with that quality for faces it will be hard to mod the game i think.

The graphics aren't what needs updating, it is the gameplay.

Every year same old same old.

They should fix the grass colours, increase players responsiveness while dribbling and add the ability to choose shirt, shorts and socks separately so that we choose mixed kits (home shirt, away shorts). They shoild incresse the brightness of night matches, the current lighting looks as if they are playing in a dead stadium. Increasing responsiveness of passing is needed too.

    i don't agree :crazyboy:
i want more better graphics :innocent_smile_1:

please better generic player (more human, for me its impossible to scan everyone!)

if the team_x.lua files aka revolution mod work in frostbite, i'd buy this game anyday for better visuals & animations :)

Jeet , my man , you are half right , as I said before , graphics is easy to mode for moders like you , but the gameplay...what can anyone do about it , except few a few minor tweaks?
Really , gameplay didn't changed for a few years , and it should.
    We shall see!
