Maybe that's it, i haven't updated to the last version, i'm on update 7 i think, i will update... but anyways everything else working fine with my custom sliders, i finished 10th in Bundesliga with Hamburger, i can't believe hahaha

Don't copy the whole file - copy the contents of this locale.ini into your locale.ini without removing any contents! So just paste it before the [LOCALE] tag.

BTW Beta, is momentum and dribbling improved too? I miss that a lot from FIFA 16.
I hope it's a bit better; the main focus of this mod is to increase CPU difficulty over the original game.

thanks for this. I will try it now. I have just posted in another thread how one sided the game has become again after being absolutely brilliant for a while. Ill try anything to make the game a sustained challenge. What have EA done with fifa 18. Theyve totally ruined the gameplay and with that they have ruined the game

Just to update. Ive tried this ini and played the same game again as i did without it. I was 3-0 in 15 minutes. They hit the bar three times. Obviously the game was scripted in such a way that the cpu was never going to score.
I pplayed another game. The ini really made to difference. for no reason the cpu has stopped playing with its relenentless nature. The other teams suddenly cant pass a ball, wheras when my team were in the lower league the cpu was outstanding and played so hard. All of a sudden its so easy to tackle etc etc.
I turned the game off.
I dont think anything can be done to permanently make the game harder. The game i just played the cpu did its best not to score. When in front of goal it passed the ball back rather than shoot and score.
I have shot accuracy at 25 and passing accuracy at 30. Things get even sillier if i put both at 50
Over at operation sports i really dont know what game they are playing. They have sliders for passing at 50. I have asked time after time how accurate the passing is and never got an answer. If i use their sliders the game is even more ludicrously easy.
I have given up on the game for today. Ill try again in a few days.

Hmm, I don't use any sliders (just all on 50/default) - do you use any other mods? What difficulty level are you playing? Could you also try to play with a clean profile (just rename the FIFA 18 to something else, end change it back afterwards). Can you confirm using USE_LANGUAGE_SELECT=0 in locale.ini disables language select on startup?
I can only agree with you, the gameplay is horrible; hate the scripted CPU and it also sucks that the players can't make any good decision. Maybe my gameplay style is different, will try to upload a video on YT soon. Don't get your hopes up for FIFA 19 - I don't know why but with every update EA seems to break at least one part of the gameplay.
Lots of things can be done to make the game harder. Sliders are one way, just raise cpu speed and accel sliders several points higher than yours. Simple fix.
Or you can edit the db, because ini codes cannot fix the persistent coding issues FIFA has had for years. Take your issue here. It is dead easy getting the cpu to shoot more. Edit the db, and raise all players' long shots rating. Also, raise all players' shot power rating, and this combined with increased long shots ratings, will create many more players with the distance shooter specialty. Another thing you can do is edit team tactics and increase teams' ccshooting rating. After that, you will see a noticable increase in cpu shooting, believe me.
I can confirm, but it may create issues and maintaining a database on every update takes a lot of time.
It's possible to overrule this by using `locale.ini`will help, but I don't want to make low tier teams to difficult.
EDIT: Released V3.0 that should fix the CPU keeps dribbling to much
I'm saying some specific issues simply cannot be fixed with ini edits; they instead require changes to both player ratings and team tactics. More distance shooting, and getting the cpu to take more shots period, is one such issue.
And updating the db each time takes 1-2 minutes, just copy the longshots and shotpower columns from the old db, and paste them into the new update. Same with the ccshooting column and any others.

I love all the series of Fifa. I play them all at my cousin's place as he is a bigger fan of Fifa and have its collection. He is about to buy Fifa 18 within a couple of days and I am really looking forward to playing it. Desperately waiting.
Hey beta i tried the last version of the .ini and i was having 2 issues, first is the stamina, it was draining very fast, i think it was the line overwrite_attributes, at least it came back to normal after i deleted, and second the shots were going very wrong for me, the cpu was normal, deleting the weight values solved it. But my game isn't updated to WC dlc, i don't know if it would make a big difference at all. Other than that everything working fine. I was surprised that for the first time cpu scored in a free kick in this fifa lol. Also, sorry if i'm abusing, but you know what line could i change or add to make the cpu hold better the ball? Sometimes they just run straight making very easy for me to tackle in the midfield, and this happens to me with or without any mod. (apologies for my english too, i'm not fluent)

Strange, it must be caused by something else. Did you tried the latest version?
If so, please try to uncomment more lines, something must cause this.
Also what file do you use, locale.ini or locale.ini.example?
Remember you need to ADD those strings, not replace any contents in that file.
