Hi guys, no one knows a way to improve Fifa 18 night lighting?
Reshade does not work with directx 12 true? And the sweetfx?
Any settings from nvidia control panel?

Thx

You may change the gamma from Nvidia control panel. But that will screw everything else.

There's nothing to do really unless some modder finds a way to edit the shader files. No one was able to edit the shader files since FiFa 11, and we don't even know what kind of shader files FiFA 17 and 18 use.

Thx Sami! ;)

What's the difference between directx11 and 12 at the visual level?

I haven't noticed any differences so far.

Dx11 runs better on my 980 Ti though. And Forcing Vsync via GPU drivers don't work on Dx12 mode. So if you wan't 60 FPS cutscenes, then Dx11 is more suitable.

Well, technically unlocked FPS is possible on Dx12 too, but since you cant force Vsync, you will suffer from screen tearings and unsmoothness.

I actually just posted a thread about this issue on MWforums... in order to get 60fps cutscenes and forced v-sync to work on dx12 API for FIFA 18 is as follows:

Just as in FIFA 17 or for dx11 version you need to open NVCP or NvidiaProfileInspector and force adaptive V-Sync on a driver level. HOWEVER, for some reason the game will not respond to the forced V-sync (instead it renders as many fps as possible, which leads to tearing and stuttering) if you have set the game to unlimited fps in the game settings. Instead, you must select the lock at 60fps option.

This is an imperfect solution, though. It takes a huge toll on VRAM and TDP on the game menu for some reason. This causes my gtx980 to render at only about 42fps on game menus; however, you will get 60fps replays and cutscenes -- assuming that your GPU has the power to do it.

Regarding the difference between dx12 and dx11, my understanding is that the game engine is able to do more in the way of game physics with the former, and that the latter has issues of motion blur in comparison to the dx12 version. I haven't tried dx11... I'll give it a whirl.

I hope this works out for anyone else struggling with the dx12 30fps cap issue.

The only thing I can think to do would be to adjust the monitor color settings from within the NVCP. Just go to 'adjust desktop color settings', then look at the bottom where it says 'Apply the following enhancements'. You can play around with master hue channel and digital vibrance, but it won't solve the issue. If you really want to get into the knitty gritty, you could adjust your color profile in the settings right above by selecting 'Use Nvidia Settings' and adjusting the brightess, contrasts and - if you are ready for a headache - the Gamma.

I see.

Yeah I remembered, forcing Vsync from driver and then setting 60 FPS lock from game settings doesn't lock cutscenes to 30 FPS in FiFA 16 and 17. So you are saying it works on Dx12 too? Hmm that's interesting. I'm gonna try it now and tell you how it performs.

@riesscar Yeah it works. Menu is locked at 60 FPS too. Didn't drop to 42 FPS.

But I had stutters at loading during loading before the match starts, a drop to 32 FPS for a second when starting line up was shown.

Also, I do drop to 58/ 57 FPS when panning the camera around in orbit camera in closeup.

So yeah, Dx12 is not suitable for Nviia cars. I rather stick to Dx 11.

Thanks guys for the tips! ;)

I also think that for old cards like ours (i have a gtx970) are more reliable dx11.

I would be really curious to know for sure the differences in game play between the two direct x...

Does anybody have a solution for 30 fps lock with AMD cards (R9 270x)?
In previous FIFA's I used RadeonPro to force VSync but it doesn't work with FIFA 18... :$

Set FPS to No Limit from game settings.

Okay, that will unlock FPS, but I don't know how you can force Vsync.

Try DirectX 11 API and then force Vsync.

For better lighting day and night and to remove those annoying filters type to Bombonera stadium, insert this string into the local.ini file:

FORCE_REGIONALIZATION_COLOR=0

Regards ;)
