I've been playing for some days now pes 18 and for sure I can tell you they have much better generic stadiums, which look modern and nice, but that is about it.
Pes has just a few licensed stadiums, brasilian ones being excellent, but overall I just do not know, it's just that feeling that tells you that is not the game you would expect.
So I just hope that GalaxyMan will develop his tool faster so we can import stadiums and other stuff, but as far I can see he will delay further development in the frosty editor, like texture merger which in my opinion is a vital feature.
Anyway, as a comparison fifa versus pes, fifa will always win by a visible margin even without mods, but with modding possible it is just a huge difference.
So, for those of you who played in early acces, what is different from the demmo?
(About bad lighting, I tell you, in the next one or two editions of fifa , the producers will tweak it and make videos and bombastic announcements 3-4 month before the release inventing some new name for a light system when in fact it's just a minor thing when you are the developer of the game, but has no sense doing it this year or what will you make big fuss next year?)

FIFA is still using most of the stadiums added in the PS3/360 generation. I'd like to see a complete overhaul of the generic stadiums.

It's funny how we fixate in different things to make the game feel inmersirve to us. For example you guys look at stadiums, I don't ever notice that playing, but faces are super important to me, others care about shoes, kits, etc. It's pretty dope.

I think it often depends which teams a person supports as well, if you support someone like Manchester Utd you expect the world, if you're someone who supports a much smaller team (in my case Sheffield Wednesday) I'm happy for a start if I can simply edit the player photos to update them to not be wearing a former team's shirt (or even to fix a grey silhouette).

Speaking of PES vs FIFA, am I the only one who noticed how much smoother, more natural and more human PES 2018 animations look compared to FIFA.
I like the overall presentation around a game of PES much more than in FIFA, too.

For the first time ever, I really thought about getting PES over FIFA. Players, goalkeepers, referees... they all move so much better. Graphics are not as good as in FIFA 18 but imo animations are always more important than graphics.

But I cannot stand the licences thing... I watched some mods for PES which make the Bundesliga available, but the horrible faces, the lack of immersion... gosh I really wished Konami and EA would work together to get the best of both...

I am with FIFA again. But they really need to step up to keep me for 19 again...

So 18 has no new faces worth bothering about? I mean outside the PL obviously.

I don't have the full game but it seems that they added a lot of new faces for the MLS. Toronto and LA Galaxy at least had many new faces.

But it's still ridiculous that Atlético Madrid doesn't have faces like Oblak, Saúl, Carrasco, Savic, Gimenez...

Too right! Its ridiculous. They should at least do all the top teams. I had a look in Youtube and there seems to be a lot of new faces. At least though I hope they're convertable.

PES 18 has smoother animations. But the game is so sluggish at normal gamespeed that I literally had to use +2 game speed just to make it responsive.

Normally that wouldn't be a problem in FiFA games since cut-scenes aren't affected by game speed. But my God, Goal celebrations and most of the cutscenes become 2x faster with +2 gamespeed. Totally breaks the immersion.


FiFA 18 on the other hand, felt responsive enough even on Normal game speed. The animations aren't smooth, but atleast players don't slide all over the place. In PES 18 its reduced compared to PES 17, but the sliding is clearly visible and its getting more noticeable as I play more.

I though PES 18 had better graphics than FiFA, but the more I play, the more I realize FiFA 18 has better graphics during gameplay [Except LODS which is now fixed by Great Fidel anyway]. The grass texture is downright awful in PES. The low contrast mow patterns doesn't help either. The cutscenes feel like it was designed for 30 FPS.





Both games are worth buying, but now I can see why I need both games. FiFA 18 is not much inferior than PES as people think. It's a bit arcady game I guess? [according to PES users] But that's how FiFA always was anyway, that thats the reason I like FiFA.

Does anyone know if catalogue is fixed or is it the same old story with no updates on PC, no winter balls and generic boot on players?

It seems that now the generic stadiums have electronic adboards? Can someone confirm?

That alone would improve the immersion for me.

I had to make a new acocunt as my connected email doesn't exist anymore.
Anyway I'm asking a favour because I can't buy the game now: can someone who has the game save the various versions before the ea patches will screw up the game as usual?
I mean If someone has the vanilla version and the day one patched version can please backup it and upload it?
Demo seems good this year

I hope EA is not working in the way given to one user, saying to him the fault belongs to the retailer or to another who got the answer that in order
to play hit the download button and then play, this user saying exactly this in his complaint, he has no download button.
These moderators at EA have either a lot of funny jokes in their minds or they are bots which give automatic answers to standard questions.

Did someone find a slider settings to tight the defenses up a little so the result of a match could have less than 4 goals scores and the defensmen do not be so loose?
Untill at least someone finds another solution like a gameplay?
