Do you think it will be so expensive?
These days the 1080 gtx is somewhere between 500-600 euros and still it is said to be too much. The 1180 gtx is rumoured to be arround here too. Or at least I hope so.

Always go for 1070 or 1080 Ti.

The non Ti xx80 GPUs aren't worth buying because of price:performance

And if 1180 or 2080 [Whatever their name will be] comes out within 2-3 months, then you should just buy those. Since you have been saving money for a year, it would be a waste to spend it on 1080. Only time xx80 are worth buying are when their Ti counterparts aren't released.

So in this case, 1180 might be worth buying until the release of 1180 Ti. or you could also wait and see how 1170 performs [Which should be cheaper than a xx80 card while performing as good as xx80 Ti cards of previous gen].

Thank you sir for your solid answer. In fact I'm going to take your advice and wait for 1180 and will not waver anymore.
I expect fifa 19 on a 4k monitor and 1180 gtx will look great especially with some tweaks by fidel.

Solid answer? No, someone provided an opinion that confirmed your own opinion. That's all you were looking for apparently.

Nothing Sami wrote was any different than my comments, all he did was post his opinion. He has an opinion about ti cards. His opinion is paying $1000+ bucks for a ti is worth it (easy to spend other peoples' money!). I disagree and don't think it's worth it to spend that kind of money. His opinion is there's no value in getting a card that isn't a ti. I disagree, there is value when you can get a very decent card on sale at half price.

Anyway, these "I'm going to buy a new PC at some distant point in the future" conversations all end up like this. If, maybe, perhaps. When you do buy something, tell us what you bought. The end.

I don't know why are you so angry about life but my question was total different and adressed to the people that have a 4k monitor in order for me to get an ideea about current gen gpu's performance in fifa and not to get into another pointless dialogue. Given the ammount of money needed, seems like a good ideea to ask for an opinion from other people. You gave one and sami did also, thing for which I'm gratefull.

Oh ffs. Sounds like you're still upset with my reply to your "beta tool" comment. I pointed out that Sami's "solid response" was nothing other than an opinion: "Get a ti, nothing else is worth buying." So much for your stated need for specific info regarding current gen gpu's performance in FIFA. Glad you're happy, I'm out.

Wow.

How much blind can you be? Did you even read my full comment?

I told him to get either a xx70 card or xx80 Ti card. in both cases you are getting the best performance possible for the money. xx80 [Non Ti] cards are overpriced and isn't worth much as xx70 cards or xx80 Ti cards.

And of course it's my opinion. I'm trying to give my opinion on what should be best for him. And Ti cards aren't 1000 Bucks. They are always ranged around 650-800$. The one you are talking about are TiTAN cards which are worthless for gaming since the Ti cards basically performs same as TiTAN cards on games. So those extra few improvements on TiTAN are not worth for gaming.

Wow, just wow.

I bet you are saying this because I bought my pc with my dad's money, right? Keep in mind though, I can't get anything without giving anything. So it's not that simple as asking him to give me loads of money so that I can spend it like a spoiled brat.

And it's a long term investment anyway. I'm not planning to upgrade my pc for this whole Ps4 gen. When Ps5 will finally come, I will wait 1 or 2 years and then buy another pc and use that for as long as Ps5 gen lasts.
I spent a big chunk of money, but saved a lot in long term.

Again it seems like you didn't even bother to read my comment where I told him to get a xx70 or xx80 Ti. Definitely I would recommend him a cheaper card like xx60 or xx50 Ti if he was tight in his budget. But if he's willing to spend money on a GTX 1080, then he can definitely wait for GTX 1170 or 1180 which might be cheaper than current 1080s due to drop in bitcoin mining.

And specific info? FiFA 16 ran on locked 60 FPS on 4k on 980 Ti. But FiFA 18 sometimes drops to 50 FPS on 1800p on 980Ti, let alone 4k where FPS drops to as low as 40s on some cases.

A 1080 might run FiFA 18 on locked 60 fps at 4k, but new cards at possibly cheaper price are coming, so why not buy those which will ensure much better performance on 4k on next FiFA games?

I'm disappointed man. I didn't expect you to bash me like this just because you though my "opinion" was shit. But in reality, my opinion contained more info on what he should do, whereas you just ignored his question and recommended him a 1060 which will definitely not perform that great on 4k and he specifically mentioned 4k.

Don't get me wrong, a 1060 will give console level of performance [60 fps during gameplay without max lods and 30 fps during cutscenes]. A 1060 is enough for 1080p gaming.

I will not argue any further. I will just leave it at that. Sorry for the long post but I hope I clarified the misunderstandings.

Nobody is arguing with you Sami lol. Your opinion is as valid as anyone's. My opinion is save some money but still buy something of quality, mostly because spending $1000+ is obscene. That's the great thing about opinions, they're all different.

Thanks a lot for taking time to explain, these opinions do matter and it's certanly helpfull to me and others which seek to upgrade their pc's.
I do not want to start a quarel here especially this being a field subjected to a broad personal choices and that is that.
I.m indeed enclined to spend a larger sum once and have a few years of top performance rather than periodicly needing an upgrade, so yes, it's better in my opinion to wait for 1180 gtx.
This does not mean that buying with more sense, like Bangus said, is not recommended, on the contrary, it is a clever strategy if you don't want to go broke and will deliver good performance plus leave you with money for a small vacation.

Everyone's opinion should be that any and all parts for PCs fairly newer to brand new are extremely overpriced and the fact they can be sold to a consumer at those prices should be illegal. They wish the fuck I would spend a $1000.00 on a graphics card that cost them $200.00 to build.

Thanks, that's all I was trying to say. Sorry, don't know why I got so snarky about it, must be my personality.
