FIFA 20 Conversions (DB, Kits, ect.)

Thanks to everyone involved in this. It's great to see that "old" games like FIFA 16 and FIFA 14 are still alive. :)

Hi guys, could you please help me a little?

I tried to apply the kits but when I put the folders 0, 1 and 3 separately in sceneassets/kit, neither the game nor creation master will recognize them. This actually happened before so I used to cut and paste all of them directly in the kit folder. I tried to do that again but I realize that they are all named the same, I mean the team crest, the shirts and the shorts, for example, all three files for one club are named "kit_0_0_0.png", so it's not possible to put them in the single kits folder. What can I do?

My second problem, after placing the new DB & loc files in data, most teams are without badges and names (you know the club names showing as TEAM_ABR020202 thingy), I'm sorry if there was already a fix posted for this in this thread, but I can't seem to locate it. How can I solve it?

And the third problem, the minikits I downloaded are dds files, I put them in the ui/imgAssets but they aren't recognized, are they to be converted or something?. And also the kitnumbers (which are rx3) aren't recognized (neither by the game nor cm).

Wait, aren't you trying to use minikits instead of kits perhaps?
Kits to be added in the "sceneassets" folder should be in RX3 format. Here you get the post with the link to the RX3 files, they do work out of the box in FIFA 16 and to some extent also in FIFA 14 (they'd need the sleeves and the socks to be adapted first, and collars will not be 100% perfect).

Mind you that you'll have to...
  • Extract the kits in the appropriate folder (this has to be data/sceneassets/kit if I recall correctly, not at home now so I can't check for sure).
  • Regenerate (with i68 Controller or with File Master) if you want to see them ingame (otherwise FIFA would still load the default ones).
  • Correct some values in the DB (unless you use a converted FIFa 20 database) if you want them to have numbers and fonts of the correct colour and correct collars.

No I put the minikits in the kit folder in ui/imgAssets, and I already regenerated (using cm). I'll try the rx3 files then and let you know the result, thanks.

Btw, I can't do a clean install, I delete everything and when I install the game (and even if I install the FIP on it, or change the db, won't make a difference) the previously added fifa20 db shows up again, what could be causing it?

Yeah, lua assignments done via RevMod take the precedence over database values.
The assignKitDetails strings are what you're looking for, I guess.

From the RevMod documentation:
assignKitDetails(teamid,kittype,namefont,namecolour,namelayout,numberset,numbercolourshirt, numbercolourshort,fit,collarnumber)
Set the name and number type and colours of a kit, also the collar. namelayout can be straight (0) or curved (1). fit can be normal (0) or tight (1).
namefont, namecolour, namelayout, numberset, numbercolourshirt, numbercolourshort fit, and collarnumber can be set to -1 to use the database values.
Go to your data\fifarna\lua\assignments\teams\ folder and open the file referring to the team you want to modify the collars of, then change the assignKitDetails strings accordingly.

Yeah, lua assignments done via RevMod take the precedence over database values.
The assignKitDetails strings are what you're looking for, I guess.

-Restricted advertising versions are not included.

Note: I initially intended to use standard FIFA 16 kit files, but stretching the 128px logos to 256px looked bad. I think the files can be used with FIFAs 12-16.

You need to download db Master and start the converting
