Thanks mate, I think I'll do that when master scouser09 releases the compdata, I'll probably start all over again..
Here's what you can also try doing: backup all your edited files, and revert FIFA to vanilla state. Test if it works (just to be sure). Then, try adding your edits but not all at once, but maybe by little chunks, for example: replace DB - test if game works, then replace kits - test again, then - replace faces - etc.

Thus you will narrow down the location of corrupted files. For example, if after adding faces/ folder the game will crash, then you can start doing it again but on a smaller scope: add 50 faces, test, then add another 50 etc.

It will be time consuming and tedious, but it can save you redoing all your hard work.

There is also possibility, that game crashing on loading screen isn't related to assets, but to lua files? At least this is my experience.

Done all that mate, and believe me hell of a lot more, just to save my works which took me weeks to get it all right. Nothing works, the goddamn game will just crash everytime no matter what I do. I think that my db is fine though, because it'll still crash no matter what db you use. I just can't find the problem, neither in the sceneassets nor in any other folder, whatever I do won't make any difference. I swear the stupid thing will turn me into a mental patient. Probably someone with knowledge would be able to fix this but, I can't...

Anyways, I never had issues like this with CM12 / 13 / 14 and 15, I think that CM16 has some serious bugs and it just screws up the game sometimes...

Normally the graphics you change with cm16 wont cause crashes to the game
Because cm16 only allows fifa 16 compatible graphics to import/edit

The cause probably was at db, loc or something related when u press "save" at cm16
Cm16 sometimes makes errors at the database even without doing changes there :
It s better using dbmaster for editing the database & loc to prevent errors,
And use cm16 for career settings, or some graphics (graphics also maybe better with filemaster)

If you deleted the whole ui folder:
The original Fifa 16 minifaces are stored in a .big (ui/imageassets/minifaces --> not sure),
Unlike the other fifa 16 files (wich are at game folder)
So if you deleted the ui folder, game wil crash now...

If you reinstall fifa 16 on top of current installation :
Your edited files wont get lost if u do this,
Edited files are saved on different locations then the original fifa 16 files
But u ll need to regenerate after installation to activate your edited files

You always need to regenerate when you move/delete/add edited files
If you delete the database without regenerating, your game will crash...

Not completely sure about all,
I dont have fifa 16 : so backup things first maybe

A little update about the compdata. I successfully made an adaption which seems to work fine in career mode. However, it is not compatible with CM16 at present, saving in CM16 renders tournament mode and career mode unplayable. I want try and fix this situation before I release, but I will release anyway if I am unable to do so in the next few days.


Friends, I added some faces, edited a few generic faces, added minifaces, added a few club logos (all using CM), edited a few players (potential, shot power etc) and saved. Now the game crashes right at the start (during the Messi screen). Any ideas why?
I experienced a "Messi screen" crash myself recently. The problem turned out to be a corrupted language DB. It is quite likely that was the original source of your problem too. tokke001 makes a good point, you may have removed some original files causing further problems. For example, removing your entire loc folder.

You could try Origin's repair function to restore these files. If you try a fresh install, I would recommend the following steps. Exit Origin then rename your FIFA 16 folder. Now open Origin and download the game. This keeps your current install as a backup. Restore your mods in stages, testing in game after each batch. This way you will know which batch of files contains the proble.

that's great news mate! although this is a known CM16 bug and the good old backup/restore method is the best solution

-Change tie break method in Liga MX play-offs to include extra time and penalties.
-Removes some tie breakers in Primeira Liga, J-League and Swedish cup.
-Delete play-off colour slots for teams in 7th and 8th position in Serie B. They still qualify for play-offs.
-Delete some special team assignments in EL. Competition will still work correctly.

Please note that CM16 may force similar changes on the original FIFA 16 compdata, I have not inspected though.

The parent node of any international tournament scheduled to start later than 2020 will crash if selected in CM16. This is a CM16 bug and will not cause any issues in game.

I studied EA's CL and EL structure. CL will have a draw failure if CL or EL is won by Dinamo Zagreb or HJK Helsinki. CL may have a draw failure if both CL and EL won by Greek and/or Czech teams. While both scenarios are unlikely, I thought it was worth noting.

Since the Russian Premier League ID (67) is not used, you may have some issues in career mode. The job search menu may crash if attempting to inspect the league. The may be a rare crash at the start of a month, you can reload and continue if so. A simple solution is to change the CSL league and tournament ID to 67. You could restore the Russian Premier League. However if you want CL/EL qualification, the special team structure in the CL and EL would need to be edited outside of CM16, this edit is not for beginners.

I can also make romanian and czech league, as I have already then in 2017-18 form. I can also complete the russian league and/or make some teams paticipating in EL and CL. I mean rosters, kits and minis. I do not have the skills to adapt these additions to the dlc properly, it's out of my horizon.

did you add leagues what you said? i tried a few times for add my turkish second league in 2017-2018 form. team names are change team_name_xxx something like that.

Friends, the only issue I've encountered so far: Let's say I sign a player for about 8m, and that is always the top transfer during a transfer window, in whole Europe. In the top transfers list, there is always 2 or 3 signings and the top one is always mine. And almost all clubs have the same players every season. Is there a fix to this?

I made the RPL compositions of this season manually, with the exception of Yenisei FC, the sets for the Russian league have already been made by user FIFA017

Otherwise, it should work fine with a clean FIFA 16 install.

Rather than test extensively, I decided I would wait for community feedback instead. I can then work on other things.

A DB integrating a recent squad update and additional language DBs are planned.

A patch with all of this material and some extras is now planned. The scope of the extras are still being planned, an announcement will be made in the future.

Some additional essential files will be released soon, as well as a few updates. Any further conversions will be kept for the patch.

The balls go in the data\sceneassets\ball folder as usual. The balls pack I converted was from the PS3 which does not include the UEFA CL/EL/SC balls.

Did you delete the original language DBs from locale.big? You can use this version of locale.big if you prefer, but it contains some UK specific settings in locale.ini.

The DB does not come with any graphics. Based on your question, I am guessing you are a beginner to modding FIFA 16?

Possibly, but I am not sure how exactly. For me, it is not a priority issue to address.
