A few weeks ago I came up with the idea to create a fifa2001 ladder competition.
I was thinking of doing it the following:
A max of 60 players aloud from around the world.
you have to play someone at least once every 2 weeks!
There would be 3 different sections: Amateur Professional and world class.
You can challenge anyone from the group that you are in!
What do you think????
I need ideas though and most of all HELP!!!
I made a web site for that competition.It is not finished (far from it) it is just to show you what I mean.
I would need people to help me though.
Who knows it might become the most succesful fifa2001 comepetition.

Anyaway you must remember that I'm not some kinda internet company (like soccergaming or gamespot) so I wasn't thinking of prizes.
I was more thinking of pride as team17 said.
I have very basic knowlage of making web sites(I am still learning) so someone who would like to post news and update the site would be very helpful(it won't be paid though)
Basicly it's just a fun league for fifa2001 to make the game more interesting......

As for your site, well it looks OK, not brilliant (no offence
) but it looks good. You have some scrolling text at the top saying something like "Fred has beaten Joe on world class skill level" but surely skill level won't matter because its human v human, I suppose the keeper may be more easy to beat, given a lower skill level.
And one last thing, how will the winners be decided (set amount of games or win percentage?) and will there be promotion and relegation between the three league?

I play both in pro&wc difficulties, and my only problem is that I got used to playing using that damned 4-button gamepad

But still, I love to play - not to win but to play! And, btw, I'm from Russia - I'm quite sure you won't find lots'o'players from here. I may be having different connection problems BUT I'm able to play from 19 till 23 (not a big deal of time, but still). And. I've got a pirate version. Yeah, yeah, pirates sux and all that stuff. But after buying Diablo2 I ran outta my money for quite a long time now

This looks like what most PC Fifa players have wanted....I'd certainly like to get involved. Of course I don't have the game yet...delivery should be 10th.
One question, how do you propose the matches are made, direct IP or through EA's multiplayer matchup system?

I would be interested in playing in your league that you're going to set up. The only thing is that I live in the U.S... How will I be able to play w/ people from all over the world?? I have Internet but does that mean I have to make Interantional calls to everyone? Please explain..
