ok i dont have the skill then lol, and pressing up and down curls it? . Does anyone else find it annoying when the keeper tackles your player from behind and grabs the ball despite the fact that it's physically impossible?

I can NEVER score from corners, whenever I head the ball at goal it either goes wide or is so weak that it bounces harmlessly into the keepers arms.
Regarding totti, no he doesn't have any special moves as he isn't actually that skillfull, he's just another dirty Italian . His atrributes are generally good, not the best in the game but certainly no the worst

I have a problem with volleys, overhead kicks, headers, and pretty much every single thing that touches air play.

However hard I try I cannot get a powerful volley. Using the lob button gives me a stupid volley, and using the shoot button gets the player to control the ball and blast it - I want a first hit volley/overhead kick, thats very powerful (Or AS powerful as I want), whether from a corner (in the box) or outside the box. Dont tell me to tap buttons unless its worked for YOU (Since I tried and it doesn't work...

All my corners suck. The only times I score a scissor kick is if im right next to goal. I cant score from volleys or headers or overhead kicks at all, since all I can use is the lob button and that gets me no power at all. Headers are impossible with no power too...

A cross sometimes scores but I want to know how to trigger diving headers and backheel's and other tricks...

I can score headers from crosses but the only way I can score from corners is from set plays where i play the ball short then pass it into a player in the box (normally the central midfielder is in space) who smacks it as hard as he can, if he doesn't score he sends one of their players scrambling which is almost as good as a goal

ABOUT VOLEYS AND HEADERS - TIP

At least in World Class mode this works very good...

IF the "star" above your player is lit, use the lob button so he can do a voley pass/lob.

IF the "star" is not lit, then press the header button repeatedly (the last to press, gets possesion!)


I know there are a lot of stuff from WC2k2 we all miss (namely the slide to get the balls on the sideline... beautiful!), but EA is improving other areas aswell... you can really notice this if you go back playing old versions after spending a lot of time with 2k3. They feel like totally diferente games!

I definetly hope EA improves on defenders AI... but here goes another tip:

I noticed that if you turn OFF "Run Indicators" you're defenders don't open as much space in the middle... but try to play without runs in World Class and you'd barely score!!! :/ lol... so the option i found was to get an AI patch ... this is the one i'm currently using...

overhead kicks

i have a problem with overhead kicks whenever the ball comes flying above your head he always chest its down. i happened once or twice that i did it but i dont have a clue how plz help.

I can score without making players do runs, i just pass it about and then get a player with loads of strength (Always Vieri, Inter PWN) to run it and slide it under the keeper .
I think Fifa 2003 doesn't quite beat pro Evolution 2 on the PS2 but it certainly comes closer, if EA took a leafe out of Konami's books and used the gameplay techniques pro evolution uses along with the graphics of Fifa then we would have the perfect footballing experience on our hands.

I have to tell someone about the amazing goal i scored yesterday. i have the xbox version.

I was playing a game a man utd and the opposition keeper kicked the ball out from the edge of his area, Veron controlled the ball on his chest on the halfway line, i pressed the run button to make van Nistleroy run and they pressed the lob button. I was trying to lob the ball infornt of van Nistleroy, but i pressed for too long and it went into the red. i thought i had screwed up, but no, it went over the keeper and bellow the bar...................................i dont know how it happened but i had scored the goal of the century by screwing up. I have tried again many times since last night, but the closest i have come is hitting the roof of the net God damn it was good, but now i have to score either an overhead kick or from even further out to score a better goal

damn, I envy ya, I have tried scoring from the halfway line with shots but they normally go wide or the keeper catches them. I've scored with Conceicao from about 40 yards out with a proper screamer though

I scored a siccor kick from the semi circle. And a beautiful volley from out side the area. It goes under the right leg and is volleyed with the left leg all in the air. You have to see it to belive it!

I've managed quite a few volleys from various parts of the pitch,altho it seems a like a lottery with the power u can get from them,unless u let the ball bounce once then let fly,like i have here
