These are my experiences as a PC user through the years...

1998: FIFA RTWC 98 excellent game, especially for its time
1999: FIFA 99 a great update to the previous FIFA
2000: FIFA 2000 This is where the problems start. Bad graphics, funny but not realistic
2001: I didn't buy any football games but noticed that FIFA 2001 had great graphics
2002: FIFA 2002 great graphics again, but poor gameplay. I couldn't stand the repetition of scenes!
2003: FIFA 2003 EXCELLENT graphics, not bad gameplay (headers are missing), and with the addition of creation centre, a generally good game
2004: FIFA 2004 Good graphics but worse than last year's game, headers are back but the gameplay is by far the worst I 've seen in FIFAs. Suddenly I learn that another football game exist:
PES3 for PC! Good graphics, no licences but fully updatable through the web, and at last! an EXCELLENT gameplay.

guys, when you play a football game, you just want to do what happens in reality. Things are simple:
FIFA=>means=>LICENCES
PES3=>means=>VIRTUAL REALITY OF FOOTBALL WORLD

iceflow is from Australia, a country where football is called "soccer" and 99% of the population plays stupid games like rugby and cricket so it's no wonder he doesn't care about gameplay/realism etc...

nvm him... probably he watches a football match twice a year...

and yeah..I can't wait for WE8/PES4

they probably will have online playing for PS2 version.. ^__^" getting bored of giving my friends handycap

take it easy there man, there's a lot of us football fans in Australia, especially the Euro population like Greeks, Italians, Croatians etc. that love football...there's also a fair few Aussies as well.

Fifa 2004 marks the bad ending of eas fifa series.

1. The in-game-graphics are terrible, the stadium textures don't look realistic any way. Player's appearance and movement look also much more realistic in PES3.

You fifa suckers don't agree. I know, your arguments are the well-painted crowds, but can this be a reason to play fifa?

2. The gameplay: Why do every goal look the same?


3. You fifa-suckers just look at the licenses(who needs 10000 original players, if their stats are incorrect e.g. Owen's jump power and header accuracy) and don't notice that there are several patches for PES3, which correct the names, kits, stadiums etc. and are extremely narrow-minded.

Sigh. I am just wondering when would all this fifa bashing-pes promoting nonsense stop. Does favouring any of the games take you a better person? I'm afraid not. The moderators should close this thread so that people here would not make a clown of themselves. As I said before, there are more things in this world than wasting one's time in comparing games.

Honestly (and i bought all FIFA games) since i play PES3, i put FIFA2004 in the place that he deserves... the recycle bin. FIFA2004 has so many bugs and so bad gameplay that make a people tired just for playing the game...
I bought PES 3 last week and i am very satisfied with the game. Finally a game that makes me enjoy playing it, that gives me the true feeling of a football match. I didn't have this feeling since Fifa 2001.

PS: Imagine PES3 with EA licences. (H)

fifa fans are dumb..most of them havent even played pro evo for them to make stupid comments...they dont even give it the light of day......i used to be a hardcore fifa fan...people woul dtell me pro evo....i tried it cuz there was a lot of fuss...and guess wut i was taken by teh gameplay....u will ahrdly ever find pro evo for teh current year in the used games section till teh new one comes out gauranteed...but fifa u see them lined up going for 19.99 because someone got fed up with its scripted gameplay and uneditable features..when pro evo gets licensed who do u think is gonna be makin bucks konami and rightly so.......ea will lose there license when sepp blatter realises ea arent doing there job but konami are.

Does this mean everyone with a different opinion from your self is dumb. Some of you people really are intolerant plonkers and I just switch off from anything else you say.
Personally, I will never argue that one is superior to rhe other as I think they are both flawed and frustrating to play. However, untill something better comes along, WHOEVER produces it I am playing Fifa mostly and sometimes PES3.

PES needs a FIFA's graphic, And fifa needs PES's
gameplay. (I feel like PES3 is a dribbing game, but good AI on each opponent,that's what Fifa needs)
A combination of FIFA and PES would be great for us

Some people on these forums are 100% complete idiots. Im mean, when somebody posts a positive comment about FIFA, why does an idiot Pro evo fan come along and insult him. Why? Just becuse you don't like the game? IDIOTS! People have different opinions and you can't change that. I'm a Pro Evolution fan myself, but the comments I read on here are absolutly pathetic.

On these forums, all I see are dumb comments like, "Have you ever watched football? Have you ever played football?" What the hell is that suppost to mean? I admit, FIFA isn't great by any means, but it's not that bad at all. Neither is Pro Evolution. Most of you here say it's a perfect game, but it's far from it. It's been so over-rated, that every time I play the game, I lose more and more interest in it. The graphics on FIFA are far better than Pro Evo. Pro Evolution have graphics from the stone age.

SO you idiot Pro evo fanboys can shut the hell up.
