Sorry, but thats why theres 2*, 3* and 4* levels - to even out the obvious difference in AI and difficulty between the level 1 and level 5. It makes perfect sense that level 1 would be too easy to most people - and level 5 would be very difficult to most. If your daughter can win 18-0 on level 1 - take her up to level 2. It cant be much harder than that, can it? :)

Soccerfan, i agree with you concerning the more realistic scorelines. But really...dont say you've never experienced unrealistic high scorelines in the Fifa games. In fact im pretty sure that those scorelines happen much more often in general Fifa games than in PES games.

You miss my point. At the same beginner level, she can't achieve that type of scoreline in Fifa. Yes, Fifa used to have unrealistic scoreline but it doen't happen much in recent installments starting from 2003.

I am not going to argue on this further. It is taking too much of my valuable time.

Well then the question is more like - is it preferable to have large scorelines in Level 1 in a game....or large scorelines in a harder level in a game. Cause i know from experience that Fifa games had/have much more unrealistic scorelines on the normal/hard levels - which bothers me a lot more than PES having unrealistic scoreline on level 1 only.

Oh well, we could discuss this forever - lets forget about it now and enjoy the games we play :)

I like Fifa, it's a great game, very enjoyable. and before you start slating me, i like PES too. So what you gonna say about that.

I can't believe all the PES fans are scoring the same way every single time. Try "DOING" something different in fifa, then you'll no doubt score a different way. True if you do the same move on the same difficulty setting all the time, you're gonna end up mastering a single type of goal.

Personally i try not to score the same goal more than once in a game. The best thing i like about football games is the build up to a goal, thats what i get excited about. The finish is just the end result.

I just wish the PES fans could just chill out, and just look forward to their "OWN" game (i say "OWN" cos they defend it like their own baby)

Anyways, i think Fifa's cool, am playing it alot, great game.

P.S. Looking forward to PES4 too, lol

The problem with that is that anytime you are in trouble and need an easy way out, you can score that one goal that you know by heart and you know exactly wat passes to make and you will be ok. where's the challange in that? WE7i doesn't allow you to do that, you have to work hard for every single goal and when you finally score that well-deserved goal, you jump around your house and make a celebration like you would if you scored a goal in real life then you have your family look at you weird and you just go back in ur room and continue playing. Or vica versa, when u get a goal score vs. in the last minute of the game, you smash ur joystick in million pieces. anyways, got a little carried away. im not a fanboy and will never be. this was purely my humble opinion.

Well, I haven't found a way in FIFA 2005 to score an easy goal when you're behind with one goal or when it's even. I was leading 2-1 in the 80 th minute and then the other team scored 2-2 but I couldn't make a goal anymore. I could really smash my keyboard in a million pieces:).

That's because FIFA is a scripted game.

he just suggested : :drevil: that you maybe can't score not because some things ingame sux, but that you are 'not smart' so that's why you can't score ;)

check out this:

http://www.soccergaming.com/fifa98/faq.html

In it, it says:
CATCH-UP LOGIC: This option is supposed to be either "on" or "off" as the player's choosing. Apparently, selecting "off" has no effect and "catch-up logic" is permanently on. Most player's seem dissatisfied with the programming of "catch-up logic" because at the beginning of the second half of a games in which the computer trailing, the computer's offensive strategy deteriorates into an incessant series of long passes and shots. As a result, the match almost always degenerates in a game of "catch" between the computer's players and the goalkeeper. Reportedly, EA is working on a patch to remedy this unfortunate and annoying situation. The supposed purpose of the catch-up logic is to enable the computer's team to more easily score the equalizing goal(s).

Now, playing FIFA 98 today, catch up was only a minor problem compared to the newer FIFA games (Im not sure about FIFA 2005, which i havent played yet). SO in 5 years, the catch up situation has just got worse. I wouldnt call it catch up, I would call it "scripting", which is very poor. It is what makes FIFA very frustrating, and they MUST get rid of this problem very soon..

Also, I installed FIFA 98 and i use a USB mouse on my computer. It always freezes and i cant control a player. Although ive tried it on another compuiter with a PS 2 mouse and it works aight. So what is goin on here |?
