Fifa 2006 CEP - Career Expansion Patch

I can't imagine going from coaching Pavia to coaching Milan in 7 years, or maybe I'll just make it in final season, but how come that the teams will be full of players of age 30+ only? Are there no new players generated?

I changed my old career.ini to make it able to play 25 years of career instead of 15, approaching more the career lifespan of a real coach, if my career is bound to be limited to seven years only, that is a major gamebreaker for me (and I imagine for many other players too)

/agree. I look forward to the early years when I can try to play using the stars of today and players I know. But as a career mode goes on I look for the rewarding feeling of finding that young player to develop early on (I've got George Mourad up to 80 now, he started closer to mid 60's) and alsi the new scouting feature. I scouted a goalie from the Americas in my first year. My Mexican keeper is now my number two and ready to take over for my number one when he retires. That'll be awesome...to have players I scouted (using the scout searches) and those players I grabbed at 18 and developed, in my later years of manager mode!

Shortening the mode would be a major setback in my eyes as well.

In terms of crashing. I had begun a 2nd career mode with PSG and had this issue happen about midway through the first season. It would lockup after about 71% of the simulation(s) after the game. I think it was about midway through the season. It happened at some point in January 2006 on the career mode calender if that helps.

So far my Leyton Orient career mode is going fine. I'm into my third season with that one.

You see, that is your problem. Your opinion is not relevant, when you make patches anyway. You should always try to elaborate your patches in the way the most possible players will enjoy it.

For example me I hate Juventus, despite that one of the first sound packs I made was for Juventus, because I know that team is very popular and would draw more attention to my other packs. I have made sound packs for other teams too that I profoundly despise, but hey give bread to the people and they smile, that's what counts, not what I like.

In the gameplay patches I have another example where someone made a great patch but it is too difficult for the majority of the Fifa crowd (and people who post on these forums are less than 0.5% of the fifa crowd remember that). So despite being a well worked out gameplay mod it will not fare well in the download numbers, because the average Fifa player (aka the majority) will say, after losing his fourth consecutive match :"WTF? is this crap gameplay, goddamned!" and delete it. That's reality.

I guess it's because I'm 37 that I realise that my opinion is not law, but the majority counts, when I was 16 to 22 that was another story, you would differ one inch with my opinion and I would put a header in someone's teeth lol, now I have calmed down a lot, who knows one day when I reach 87 I might even achieve wisdom.

You're a great patchmaker Ockham, but you're about as stubburn as a damn mule, time to change because eventualy you'll see that attitude will leave many doors closed (and I'm not talking Fifa here, but life in general)

If you don't share my point of view (a Fifa full of 44 players, the possibility of crashed due to regeneration of players, the problem of CPU managing 6500 new players) I can't agree with you, and then? what's the problem? what do you want? Giving you reason? I gather suggestions for improvements and bugs fixings, not personal opinions, especially when you can modifiy as you want your game. Stop taking yourself to seriously, please, we are talking about Fifa, I'm not interested in your life, and you should not be interested in mine. I just pointed out that his patch is well done (although I don't give a crap about South American championships except for Argentina and Brasil), I even warn him beforehand of the crash he is about going to experience with the fifa.fat, so yeah I like the CEP patch, I even made ******* translations for it. So read before you post comments mr. "I'm gona make caricatures and I like it" Denmark.

But I say he should change his attitude asap, because dragging a well respected community site through the mud in his release notes testifies of a real childish behaviour, and it's not the first time, when taking kits here on the Soccergaming forum he even made a posts were we were all fascists (Sundsvall being our Führer even), and then crawling back when he ****ed up starting another fight at Fifamania lol. So don't ******* start to give me lessons either, crybaby.

I really think that if Billy and OckHAM have something to argue about, the CEP thread is not the place to do so, and even though I may not have a huge post count in this forum, so my opinion doesn't matter a lot, I think that it would be better if you took it to private messaging. As OckHAM said, discussions made in this topic should be only about the CEP patch, not about individual differences and threats or whatever.

You both know how much I respect you, so don't take it personally or offensively. I'm just saying what needs to be said.

An on-topic question to OckHAM, I know you're working your ass off on the CEP, but did you download the Greek MegaPatch from the link I gave you? I'd be glad to play my CEP'd FIFA, but I really wish the Greek rosters would be up-to-date. I really don't understand what misunderstanding went there and the greek teams don't have the latest rosters. I'm not pointing the finger at anybody, I just find it strange since the latest version of the Greek MegaPatch was released far before 0.11.

Alright goddamn it! How about this for a change of pace. OckHAM, I know that in your documentation that you said that America de Cali was one of the 2 Colombian teams that makes FIFA CTD when one is doing a career. Now, I wanted to see what exactly are the circumstances to make it crash. All was well in selecting America De Cali until I got to the sponsors. No sponsors showed up (no pic/logo) and none of the monetary figures were there for loyalty, bonus, etc... So, I just left it on the first one highlighted (which was almost like bypassing that screen). I think that I was able to select the upgrades in staff (I'm at work so my notes are at home...). But, when it went to the scheduling, that's when it CTD. I hope this isn't just a useless response to something you know already.

Man, I couldn't care less about Denmark, the muslims and their prophet stuff, I just saw a dude sticking his nose in what is not his business, I saw a Danish flag in his sig, so my riposte was that, nothing less, nothing more, it's a defensive reaction. My brain judged he deserved a header, but unfortunately this is the internet so the only thing my header would hit would be my monitor, and I still need that, so I gave a "symbolic" header to his Danish sig to calm my nerves. So my apoligies to the danish people and supporters.

I referred to you as Fuhrer for the fascist accusations you received some months ago, you obviously seem to have forgot already, I on the other hand remember things for decades, centuries I bet if I could live that long.

Hi guys

Great to see people getting very passionate about things here but it would really be to everyone's benefit if the talk got back to being very creative about taking the CEP forwards.

It has been very refreshing in the FIFA community to see a patch that has caught everybodies imagination. In the good old days of FIFA 99, etc... "Super Patches" as they were referred to were being created everywhere and that is where our "Patches Database" prospered as we provided a Google type service for all the communities FIFA super patches.

In more recent years as EA have bought more and more licences and added more and more realism into the game with regard rosters, kits, flags, stadiums, etc... then we have seen the Super Patches die away like the dinosaurs.

That is why it is so great that with the advent of CEP that the community has got together and a brilliant collaboration project has taken flight.

Please lets accept that we are all different and have different views on life but remember that we are all herte for 1 unifying reason, the game of FIFA and our desire to make it better, i.e. the reason CEP is so popular.

Wow, now my fingers are burning.

Let's all enjoy this creation and post each and every thread with a smile on our faces.

You know RobbieD, I remember someone creating a bunch of German stadiums for FIFA 2005. I can't remember who was hosting the files but I wonder if there could be a way to port them into FIFA 06. Hmmm, I'll peruse around various sites and see what I can find!

All the german Bundesliga stadiums, and certainly those for the Mundial are already created and ready at the German Fifastadt forum. But there's no importer program yet. BTW, what a coincidence to see a moderator in the Fifa forum and even in this thread, thanks to the fag that reported me
