It works. The only problem I have for now is hair texture. Probably because of the DTX5 file...
I hope I will not have to convert them manually...

No that was not that. I think I will have to convert all those texture files manually... It works but it will be a bit long.
@Dmitri hiw did you conver the DXT5 for you FIFA14 conversion?
u can check with my converter:
OTHER > Color
-> this allows to batch edit the transparancy level, edit color channels, ...

and:
TEXTURES > Extra > Generic hair (color RGB )

A bit of un update on this generic hair add on for FIFA16.

- Models: all models have to be edited manually. Scale has to be increased and the model has to be moved back a bit. I tried to edit with @tokke001 tool, but it gives me floating hairs.

- Texture: I am not 100% happy with the way I am converting the DTX5 file from the hair texture (the green, blue, black). I am currently using the channel mixer inside photshop to convert it into a grey scale. I then use a hard contrast curve on top of that, then I lower the opacity to 15%. It is ok, but in game I get slight white parts inside the hair.
I have compared my DTX5 result with the conversion made from Switch21 to FIFA14 and they are quite different.

- The database: The database has been successfully edited with the last FIFA22 PC squad file. I wonder if the the Switch database matches the PC database though (Does hairtypecode=1 in the Switch is the same than in the PC?).

Instead of modifing the hair models, try to convert the generic heads

Instead of modifing the hair models, try to convert the generic heads

Thank you for the suggestion.
The problem is there is hundreds of generic faces to convert and I don't feel like converting them the blender way.
So I have spent the last few evenings trying to make the neck fix for @tokke001 tool with blenderfor both the switch 22 and FIFA14 without really being successful. The switch one came close, but I am not happy with the result for the back of the neck. The 14 one is even more messy. Too bad. It should be doable for skilled blender editor, which I am not anywhere close yet.

I am giving up the idea of converting the heads. I will adjust the hair manually.

Small update on my attempt at converting generic hairs.
Long hairs animations look awful ingame. The hairs looks great in blender and in CM16 but in game they are poorly displayed and floating like on this video:


It is supposed to be a pony tail.

If anyone has a tip to help converting those long hairs, that would be great.

Are these new hair that we don't have in 16, or hair that we already have? Cause if they're old, then you don't have to convert them. If they're new, I guess we could have them without the simhair animation, just like we used to do with starheads' hair so far

They are the new hairs. What do you mean by without the simhair animation? I tried to add the simhair Messi fix without any change.

Really, they're moving without using the simhair files? That's odd... You can release a starter pack with the conversions. Besides, how many players would use such hair? Then we could just hope for a fix
