Wow it's been 2 years since I post here. Anyway my knowledge about FIFA 98: Road to World Cup has been enhanced by reviewing numerous experiments from my lab. Here's the new project:

I hope someone can suggest (if many then it works) Moddingway to open the Older Titles Forum like the one #soccergaming has done for decades. For the modding works are practically able to be good enough to invoke the nostalgia people to download it again with fresh fruits inside.

Anyway this is a Q&A Thread. Any questions about FIFA 98 & World Cup 98 PC-CD version are welcomed.

hint: in order to get the best cpu vs cpu result, one should follow the Pac and Agg values in National Selection and Club Transfers, then apply them to your team management. Or if you want to see a fixed game, make your own player aggressions by yourself.

FIFA 98 varies on machines, while World Cup 98 has the least problem running on modern PC.

Two years ago I happened to use an ASUS desktop with Intel Integrated Graphics (no any nVIDIA/ATi VGA), and it was fine after applying nGlide patches (installer and compatibility fix.)

In Windows 8 you can unchecked the hardware acceleration in Speaker options, don't know if it can solve the choppy sound issue.

Rtwc 98 doesn't work with systems having more than 1 GB RAM. There is a fix though but then I need to change it again to play new games. Any other way to play this game without limiting the RAM? Btw, 3Dfx mode never worked. It's always 2D. Fifa 99 runs just fine but I like Rtwc 98 more. Need help.

Edit: The game runs on Windows 7. Don't know about 8/10.
