I've had this happen before, so it might not be your patch, but maybe you know how to fix it.

What typically causes it when FIFA crashes whenever you try to start a game against a specific team, as in its always just that team. Is there a way to fix that?

So you have only my patch installed and you tried to play with what team when it crashed. You are the first to report this so be specific.

I do doubt that the patch is the problem. This has happened before with vanilla FIFA, even on console. I think it might have something to do with the particular team's roster or other squad settings getting messed up somehow during a career mode. How can that be fixed?

Check the captain and kick takers and make sure they are in the starting lineup.

Make sure you dont have more than 38 players on the team and make sure you have at least 22 players on the roster just to be safe.

Make sure you dont have a player or players linked to 2 different teams.

Make sure players dont share the same jersey number.

I don't know if I made clear it is the opposing team I'm theorizing is messed up, since it's only playing them(in this case Montreal) that crashes the game. How can I access their squad settings during a career? Keep in mind the crash occurs right when I hit play next before I get to the game set up screen.

I dont know what your doing so I would just reinstall on a fresh FIFA.

When does the world club cup take place in this game? The same as in real life? I ask because I notice you changed some tournaments' schedules to accommodate the way the MLS runs over a different time period than most leagues.

Playing as an MLS team, I notice you had to shift around the CONCACAF Champions League to fit into the MLS year in FIFA. The unintended consequence is that if you win, the next year the world club cup takes place right around the end of that next year's champions league. Kind of weird timing, since you almost have a new continental champ at that point and its been so long since you won it.

Maybe because of internationals being in FIFA 13, it might have a continuous calendar and you can have the cl run its real schedule.

This is really old but well, i'm trying:
I can't make it work, i follow every step but when i open the game i just got a blank screen for about 2 seconds and then crash to desktop
