Maybe the 'random' concept should be used on data collecting only? Create an online Google document for everyone to edit or something like that.

not too sure what you are saying here, but what i said was truth.
we dont need a google doc to keep records, just simply allow members who truly take part in the community by helping others, giving back to the community & are always around thanking & posting the opportunity to test, not leechers who just fly by & download.

that's the way i expanded database past years

as side note: it's better to check if a name yet exists and use that id, there are too many common first names and is a big waste of ids to have one for any player. my tool manages this automatically

Good stuff Baddie, I am over on playernames but man going thru 10000 players and finding the names is a real pain but guess I have no choice. My new players start at 220,000 so thats not an issue. I wonder why the hash isnt calculating. I will figure it out.

Well, I was joking. It was not meant to be taken seriously. Maybe that was lost in translation. But then again I'm sure you must understand that it was a tongue in cheek comment????? I'd hope...Well, I know for a fact that most of what I say isn't "wrong". I think I've helped many people figure out the proper way to do things and try to be very helpful. Like I said it was a joke. But at the end of the day I was rooting for root4rulez because he attempted something that was almost impossible and did a good job. I prefaced all of what was said (which for the umpteenth time I will state again that it was a joke) with at least 3 positives about your work and commendations for you and your work. Why would you then pick out a single sentence and focus on ONLY that? Sorry, if I upset you. But I did ask you a question about the database expansion as well.

Same here! I can't wait for it as well. I haven't seen what each individual tab can do but will you also have that kits and boots importer/editor from CM 12 as well?

baddie, im am going to make a list of ids for you for players, teams, leagues & cups w/ specific ids for each so when people use the tool it keeps them from using the next free id & assigns specific ids for each league, team, cup & players.

example

if someone is making the indian premier league when they choose to create new it will assign a specific id for it & you should code the tool to not allow you to change the id.

same for teams, cups & players this way every league has it own specific id, same for teams, cups & players so no patch overwrites another patch, something similar to rinaldos cms ids.

this will allow for people to add whatever leagues, teams, cups or players w/o ids conflicting.

or even use rinaldos cms ids since it is already done for us.

what do you think of the idea ?

it could be a good idea but it worked in cm11 cause there was the cmp import/export. i'm not planing something like this but maybe a function similar to the table import/export of db master. let's see, dunno.

that is a great idea.
One of my problems in Fifa 12 patches was when i was creating a classic player with its original id i would get thet it eas used by other created player somewhere in an african NT.
And that sucks.

So my support for going forward with this idea.

Mate, if RC didn't do his job or any other moderator, this forum would be a real mess. I have seen many threads started in the wrong area. I understand how he feels. He is not being offensive, but he wants people to start threads in the right forum.

Back to topic: Great job thebaddie, hopefully you can incorporate all the features of CM at some point.:)
