There are plans to make versioning a possibility in future versions. I hope it will be available in the next update. If not you can do this:

Rename each of the following folders to something like '<name>-old' before updating.
FIFA 14/Game/data/db
FIFA 14/Game/data/loc
FIFA 14/Game/dlc
Once you've updated you can rename the new folders to something else like '<name>-new'
Then rename the original files back to their original names
Done!

You won't be able to use a lot of the new stuff like stadiums, boots may not be assigned correctly stuff like that

I did see it, but I haven't had a chance to look at it yet. It's on my list. Just to be clear is it that you can't see their stats or that it shows the wrong players details? In the picture it isn't the right player.

Install the alternative GK Kits in your kit folder and assign the kits via revolution mod in the lua file

This mod for instance contains alternate GK kits for Liverpool( type 12 & 13 ). To use these kits, add the Liverpool lua file to FIFA 14/Game/data/fifarna/lua/assignments/teams folder. Open the lua file with notepad,type the kit details for type 12 and 13 & assign the GK kits to your desired kit. Click on the save icon and close. You can refer to the image below for the Liverpool lua file and read the revolution mod documentation for more details.

I have made some good progress on the mod this weekend. Most of the errors are fixed. I am struggling to replicate the crash in August at the moment nor are there any issues with being sacked early with the default leagues applied.

I am now going to jump on to making some players for FIP20 and will be back to editing FIP14 later this week. Any help I give for FIP20 & FIP16 helps FIP14 get better so I guess technically I am still working on FIP14.
