Took a quick look through the Russian PL squads. Were they converted from some database or did someone create them to their own liking?
Noticed a couple of strange things, like Erokhin (CDM) playing striker for Zenit or Andre Schurrle playing striker for Spartak Moscow, given the fact he hasn't started a game in ages.
Looks like RPL squads could definitely use a makeover for the next scheduled update.

Fantastic mod got to 2033 simming through the seasons so far with no crash including changing manager roles from Europe to South America. It's really appreciated and FIFA 14 now is pure quality. I've extended Copa Libertadores to 8 groups and added teams from Peru, Bolivia etc, my only question is how do you stop teams qualifying for both the Libertadores & Sudamericana, I just can't seem to work it, checked numerous threads but no luck changed compdata etc but still get River Plater or Flamengo in both competitions in the same season. That's great news. If you've already updated the Copa Libertadores, do you want to share it? I'm not saying I will use it, but if it works and is the correct format I can make it a part of the planned full CONMEBOL tournaments update.
In the meantime, to stop the teams from playing in the same tournament. You need to change the following line in settings.txt:

AAAA,advance_teamcompdependency,BBBB

AAAA = should match the same line number as "AAAA,asset_id,1014"
BBBB = should match the same line number as "BBBB,asset_id,1003"

Make sense?

Harry I have not installed v12 because v11 I did not have any error in the search for players, but I do not know it in career mode because I have not played more than 1 season, I hope I do not have any, since I have installed some kits and obviously I have changed it the numbers and their specific colors, I didn't make a backup or anything, so could I have a bug in career mode? due to these kit modifications.!?

Adding kits won't cause crashes if you are just copying them into the kit folder. If you add them through CM14/15 and save without having a backup of the "dlc" then yes, almost 100% likely it will crash either in the second season or randomly in the following seasons in early August.

Everytime i start a career mode with Schalke 04 it crashes exactly on the 8th August 2021. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I am checking this issue, but this is usually down to the database being edited and the dlc folder being modified.

I've tried the mod in my pc and played a few matches with no crashes.

In my first season in Career Mode with River Plate the game crashed before a match vs San Lorenzo. Maybe it's only a random crash that happens sometimes but not always
Thing is that i modified players stats and a created only 1 player with CM 15. Copy+paste backup dlc on Game folder as been told + regenerate with file master.

I'll keep testing this mod if i find any other issues.

It isn't the youth players. That crash is related to Champions/Europa League. Can you please do the following.
Locate this file: FIFA 14\Game\dlc\dlc_FootballCompEng\dlc\FootballCompEng\data\compdata\settings.txt
Open it with Notepad
Tell me if you have these lines near the top of the document

0,nation_id,-1
0,asset_id,-1

If they are missing then that is what has caused the crash. If they exist then I will need to review those competitions.

So I just started playing the patch properly and wow how much work went into all that, every detail is taken care of so far.
I started a test UCL tournament with Liverpool and did not expect Genk to have a proper UCL kit really, but they did!

Now here are some talking points I noticed:

- Gameplay
It may be placebo, may be fifa sctipting in tournament mode or edited player stats, but I feel like the AI has become much more aggresive when pressing and closing me down, and my own attacking players make more daring opening runs?
If so, which files should I pay attention to? I think I'd like to have this AI in other patches too, like Classic Patch.

- Stadiums
Liverpool plays at their old Anfield in the patch, while irl they have upgraded it and gonzaga converted the new one for fifa 14. I installed it for my own use and maybe you'd like to have it as well.

- Scoreboards
Do I understand correctly that there are no custom scoreboards included in the patch? If so, does anyone know the id of the blue "Champions Cup" scoreboard that I should replace?

- Similarly, do we have an authentic UCL wipe for fifa 14 or just in png? @nikolapfc89 maybe?

- Team banners
Some team banners are still in the realities of 2014. Not a big deal but a bit funny seeing "Jose Com Home" banners from Chelsea or "Luis Suarez" banners from Liverpool fans. Personally I tend to replace such specific fan banners with more generic ones, e.g.:

Also speaking of Genk and banners, in the patch they have generic "team name and logo" banners. Whilw I believe this is a good solution of more obscure teams (e.g. the Chinese league) to give home grounds and fans some colors, teams ike Genk have been around for a while and in my mod folder I found a realistic banner for them.
If I'm not mistaken it's from uomagnetico's banner folder he posted way back in the day, it'd be nice if more teams had their realistic banners.

- Kits
Napoli's home UCL kit does not represent the real one (dark shoulders instead of white ones)

- Touchline managers
Jurgen Klopp is still in Borussia's outfit.

Not a deal breaker by any means but a Liverpool version can be found here

- Celebrations
As previously mentioned, players perform some bizarre celebrations, most likely due to the mismatch of celebration IDs between newer fifas anf fifa 14. Sometimes Salah thinks he's Ronaldinho, sometimes he performs some circus tricks.

- General Career Mode questions
I usually play friendlies, tournaments or single season career modes. I just can't bring myself to play with the same kits/balls/boots every season as it all feels the same to me. How do you guys play career mode? I guess one can only put their team's development first and graphics second.

Anyway, since I still have the HBZ 18-19 patch installed as well, I think what I'll try to do is start a Career in 18-19 patch, and when the season ends I'll keep the DB and switch all major graphics to the 19-20 version, I'll probably be losing some of the newest features and adjustments but I think that's worth a try. Full 2 seasons of authentic world football.

Maybe if fifa 14 is still popular and you decide to create a 20-21 patch next year, we'll have 3 full seasons of smooth career progression
Ultimately though I believe the dream would be that idea that I told you about a whole ago: bringing graphics sorted by season from several fifa games together in a single patch, converting the earliest database possible and start playing season by season, simply renaming folders when the season ends. Kind of an alternate reality 2010s.

By the way, do you happen to have the DB before the winter transfers? I'd love to start a 19-20 UCL tournament with rosters that were there during the group stage (e.g. with Smolov in Lokomotiv rather than Celta)

My only problem with the gameplay is that AI defenders doesn't make many tackles and the other thing is that freekicks are very rare. Attacking AI players make more tackles than there defenders.After completing a season , we will get 4 or 5 freekicks just outside the box.

For making the career mode more interesting...

1. don't start with Big clubs
2.Don't go after the wonderkids
3. Only buy the natives of the leagues itself
for example, If you are managing a club in england , stick with english players (don't buy Superstar english players from Big clubs).
4. later mange the same nation of your if you want(I don't usually do International managing in career mode)

Make your life as a manger as hard as possible. Then overcome all these and conquer the footballing world.

I will do. ! have updated the starting line-ups for now. There is a possibility that a mod will be released with improved Russian teams and the 2nd division too. A Russian team called TEKR asked if they could add it. If they do it I'll release at some point.

I get asked about gameplay a lot but I haven't done anything to it. It is the default gameplay.
What it sounds like though is you have applied the 'F14 beta990 Difficulty Mod'. Difficulty mod is a massive over simplification of what it does but that file can be found here: FIFA 14\Game\rna.ini

I haven't added any of the updated stadiums as of yet. Simply because of time. Adding the 200+ stadiums took such a long time I got a bit bored. These newer stadiums will be released in Stadium Pack 2 with a large number of other stadiums.

There are no new scoreboards or popups yet, but there will be. The specific colouring I believe is done by changing hex values, but honestly, I don't know enough about scoreboards to know for sure. All I know is if I add custom overlays with custom logos I only have 7 or 8 slots. The overlay range for Champions League is 7002-7094.
A specific wipe for competitions would be awesome if they are available.

Yes, always happy to update things like this. I never seem to find the time to look through the various forums when I'm building a mod so updates and improvements like this only happen when I'm doing that specific thing.

Generally, I will play as long as I can with Arsenal. Sometimes I'll pick a lower league team too.

I love the idea of having seasonal variations on graphics but there are two reasons I haven't made one yet. Career mode modding takes up too much of my time. FIFA 14 Career mode has restrictions with competitions that were not in previous games and have been removed in later FIFA games. It is also the least stable mode when modding. For example, FIFA 16 is quite forgiving when it comes to small errors in Career mode. It won't crash. In FIFA 14 those same small errors crash the game. Sometimes they are not even errors it's just FIFA 14 being a d*ck.

Unfortunately, the other is I have too much admin because people won't read a thread or watch the installation videos all the way through. Can you imagine how much of a headache it will be to explain all of this when people have issues with copy and pasting?

That said, I am not ruling it out. As for 20/21. There is still a good amount of interest in FIFA 14. It's had more downloads than FIP20 and FIP16 combined. Not bad for a 7-year-old game. So I am not ruling that out either.

You can find the db by loading the v2.02 - Base in Version Manager. Unfortunately, that mod isn't as stable as the latest release but you should be good for a season or two.

I do not know how to change the age of players that you create in-game. Can you show me a pic of what is not working with the theme?

STATUS - 10/06/2020

Hi all. I was due to release v2.13 today, but since I have come across a few bugs and had much better feedback I am going to move the release date back a bit. I am aiming for a release at the weekend. I am hoping this will be the most stable release to date.

Player starheads
I have spent a little bit of time reviewing heads that were causing crashes in-game. As a result, I am finding that there is a huge proportion of heads that need to be remodeled. These faces suffer from some if not all of the following:

• Parts of the head model sticking out of shirts at the chest and neck
• Necks too short so they have problems with the winter neck warmer
• Some heads are far too large. One face I edited yesterday was almost twice the size of the default head model.
• Face textures using excessive lighting and shading. Textures should be as flat as possible and let the game take care of shading.
• Shiny hair (mostly with hair used from Switch)

I don't know why the facemakers won't address three issues but I don't want to discourage them by pointing this out.

I will be updating the heads on a league by league, team by team basis and will post a video on how to fix these issues. Hopefully, the facemakers will use this to their benefit.

I was curious why often people reporting crashes with certain teams. I tested Toulouse and QPR that were reported crashing the game and.... didn't get any crash. Why? Because I don't mess with the files if I'm not sure it won't cause a crash. We play the same mode, same data, same graphics. I'm playing 2.11, still no crash (I tested Napoli's career for two seasons). Search players? - be my guest, no problem. Maybe many of you play 2.12, but I'm curious to know if anyone experienced crash with thise two teams.
I found one bug though in QPR. Someone's had a nightmare visiting the barber shop:
