I have such a question: Has anyone thought about increasing the number of countries on the search map for young players for the youth academy in career mode!? Do you think it is possible to add countries such as India or Tunisia to the map!?

Or is it impossible to edit FIFA 16 in your opinion?

just as a heads up, after update v4.1, i'm starting to get errors with a few players, my guess is that this is with transferred players only who were playing for a different club in the v4.0 update.

Since updating and using v4.1 now, two players as an example in KAA Gent (the two new transfers), Tarik Tissoudali and Yonas Malede all have the same type of Unhandled Exception Error when clicking on them:

As far as i have looked into it, this only is with the transfered players in a club, is also not only the case with KAA Gent.

Unsure however if this causes issues/crashing of the game when that player is in the line-up.

In v4.0 those errors did not happen.

ohh, I finally have a possible answer to my problem: / in Leipzig I fixed the faces that made the game crash. but it still crashes in the middle of a match

Apologies again for taking so long to reply.

Due to the large number of players in the patch, the playernames table is completely filled and excess entries are in the dcplayernames table. This means if you add new players or edit player names, the names may be missing in-game. This can be resolved by copying all entries from the playernames table with IDs of 29000 and higher to the dcplayernames table. CM16 does not modify the dcplayernames table. By they way, the upper limit of readable names is estimated, but not confirmed to be ID 32767.

If anyone has missing language strings (e.g. missing team names), please check the size of the file "FIFA 16\data\loc\locale.big". It should be about 16KB, meaning the original language DBs have been deleted forcing the game to read the patch DBs. If it is much larger you must either delete the files yourself with File Master (only locale.ini should be left) or add the locale.big included in V4.0 of this patch. The patch should be playable in all available languages.

At this point, I will say that my intentions are to continue this patch for the 21/22 season. I will not confirm this until after FIFA 22 material becomes available. This would also be the point when development would start, I will continue taking a break until then.

It should be possible, you might need to remove a domestic cup to make room in the compdata. Also note that the domestic cup limit is 92 teams so you can not expand the FA Cup.

This is a league I would really like to add to the patch, I actually was part of a patch team which added it to an older FIFA, 09 or 10 I think.

I can confirm these bugs, thanks for reporting. The issue with the Brazilian teams is because the squads where accidentality copied from a FIFA 21 squad update.

I did a quick test playing with an Argentine Club, I reached June 2024 without any Copa Libertadores or Copa Sudamericana problems. Did you make any edits with CM16? If not, it seems that whatever caused your problem only happens occasionally rather than consistently. I will not investigate this further at this stage since I intend to make some changes to the competition in the next version, see below.

I was playing a career mode with River Plate, and no matter how many times I won the league I never played La libertadores, besides that the calendar has 23 games and you are up to 6 months without playing again, a problem that can be solved in the future, I do not say Now, it also seems that the same teams always play in international tournaments.

The qualification issue could be for two reasons. First, is the qualification rules used, filling from league is known to cause problems, filling from tournament is more reliable. I will change this in the next version. The second is that the CONMEBOL season starts in January and Argentina starts in July. This is known to cause qualification issues and is the reason all European leagues in FIFA 16 start in July. In the next version, I will start all CONMEBOL leagues in January. I agree that Copa de la Liga Profesional needs to be added, maybe Copa Argentina too.

This is impossible as every user will have a different face collection. If I configure it to your personal game, other people will experience crashes and headless players as their face collection is different.

What changes did you make to the patch? Did you install a different version of RM16?

@scouser09 mate is possible in next update to get DB with Cyprus and Ukraine leagues together in the same DB? Maybe instead any non Euro league?
I don't play career mode so i need just for kick off mode.

I am planning to look at the possibility of a European centric version for the next version, particularly as the UEFA competitions will need to be restructured anyway.

Who know why pre-season tournaments doesnt appear in carrer mode in French league 2nd year if you are also Nationl team manager? how to solve this?

I am not sure why this is. If you are managing an African or North American national team, it might be because of international tournaments taking place.

This will only happen if you apply a tournament only compdata. Applying career mode compdata will unlock it.

Does anybody have this problem, I can't install any version of the game, so I can only play in friendly mode with teams in those versions.

I would guess that there is a permissions error or a file which needs to be overwritten is locked.

You can manually install a version by copying all files from "FIFA 16\fip\version\<version name>\" to "FIFA 16\".

What is the consensus on the career mod? Did anyone try it?

I particularly would appreciate feedback from anyone who has tried it.

The problem is transferring players with the date 2021. Creation Master only supports transfers until 31/12/2020. If we set the team date transfer to 01/07/2021 in the right panel, the error from the picture will appear in the left panel. The best solution is to check the dbmaster database and set all jointeamdates to 01/07/2020 for players who have been added to the team after 12/31/2020.

I believe I have managed to fix this issue. I will arrange for a release soon if no problems are found.

To the best of my knowledge, the options are hard coded and linked to nation ID. It is possible to do a nation ID swap though. In the relevant versions this has been done to the Ukraine and Cyprus, it is needed to play the leagues in career mode.

When the game crashes, I look at the faces one by one. until I find one that makes the game crashes before starting the game. but in some teams I look at the faces and they are all fine, the game starts well, but for example at minute 60 or minute 30 the game closes, it's frustrating

It shouldn't affect your faces. With this db I haven't had any crashes, so it should be fine. Just like how I updated the db (that I downloaded from someone else who was nice enough to update the leagues), it would be nice if someone could update the boots in game for FIP and share it. I think more sharing and group work needs to occur to keep the community alive and thriving like the PES community. This forum is different in that regard. My contributions might not be much, but I and a few others try to make the game more enjoyable for everyone.

Working on my end. Have a career going with Brentford. Started another one using Arsenal to check again. Saka is 59 years old and is talking to me about potentially retiring lol. But this is the only issue I have come across. But it only seems to be an issue with Saka. You're definitely using the db I posted right??
