How are you?

Would you have any idea why most team names are corrupted.
Like 90% of them start with "TEAMNAME_ABBR****". Except the LaLiga and EPL teams.
I installed 2.0 and 2.1 on a brand new clean FIFA 16 installation. And obviously, I regenerated with different tools too.

Is it just my problem? When you change the boots to the player in the "Boot manager", the file "playeshoe _..." is created. And should be "playeRshoe _...".

I planned to post some release notes immediately after the release post, but was busy immediately after. I will do so now.

First, massive apologies for the late release.

Inspired by the FIFA 19 feature, there is a new tournament mode only compdata option to play only cup finals. You can go straight to the CL final, World Cup final, ect, without the need to play or simulate previous rounds. The tournaments have the teams from the most recent final (with a few substitutions) by default, but you can swap them in-game of course.

I have also added a boot assignment tool. Some additional boots from tokke001's boot pack have been added as well his updated assignments.



The issue where occasionally the wrong teams qualify for CL and EL was noticed during the testing phase. However, so far I have been unable to figure out why this is and decided not to delay the release until the issue was resolved. If anyone has any ideas, please contact me.

I will release a bug fix soon for the reported issues I am able to resolve.

There are also plans for a new version of FIP16 for the 19/20 season.

Finally, a big thanks to everyone who has contributed to this project.


No, I put the ID / Tournament ID with the club ID number, which is "243" and cloned it from the Alternative Kit (the third kit).

Keep the "tournament/league ID" as 0, it is added as a classic kit otherwise.


Hey @scouser I see you have updated player.lua again. For some reason FIP's RM doesn't work on my vanilla FIFA16 so I can't test it right now, but looking at a code I see that you added some logic for combining classic kits with tournament IDs (for assigning tournament-specific assets for year-specific kits). Is it working? Or is it just something you've been testing and isn't ready to use yet?

To be honest, it has been a few months since I added the code and am not sure exactly. I would guess I finished it for the kits themselves, but maybe not other related things. I really need to find some time to finish the mod and documentation, and to release it properly.


I really like this Patch, works fine, looking fine, one of the best Patches with several pretty looking boots... the only thing, sorry if it answered before and I didn´t read this so far is the youth Players have weird names, also the scouts for the youth players network. I often discovered that at some other Patches, last time at a Fifa 19 Patch. Can you fix that @scouser09 or maybe you can tell me how to fix that by myself?!

The relevant DB tables are career_firstnames, career_lastnames and career_commonnames. I will try to fix this issue though.


Hey mate Istanbul Basaksehir dont have Robinho in FIP roster?

The Istanbul Basaksehir roster in FIP16 is the same as FIFA 19, I did not notice his omission. I guess EA do not consider it acceptable for him to be in the game because of his conviction.

The Game still crashes when I start a Custom Tournament. I have 2.1 installed. After selecting the Teams the game quits without Error. Doesn´t matter which compdata I install.

I checked and you are partially correct. Some custom tournaments work, typically ones with smaller structures. It seems that custom tournament structures are effectively added to the compdata and count towards the limitation.

You can use FIP16 Tournament Manager to delete some cups to make space if you want to play larger custom tournaments, I suggest reducing to 1700 or less. This is something I should have noticed and documented.

Yes, but only the home team as only one wipe can be used per match I think. It is something I have done some work on.

Someone requested the ability to assign wipes to friendlies. I though this could be extended to allow for assignments for the home team's default league, a local broadcaster's logo could be used, eg. Sky Sports. Some clubs have their own TV channels so that logo could be used.

It just means the game is reading the original language DBs instead of the patch ones, the originals must be removed as regeneration does not help. Run FIFA 16\data\loc\LanguageDBFix.exe. If this fails, delete the DB and XML files manually from FIFA 16\data\loc\locale.big with File Master.

Is it possible already? I mean to assign home team a TV logo?.
If you could you briefly guide me through it?.
File Server doesn't seem to be working for me sadly.

The Tournament Manager doesn´t load any Tournaments. When I start the Program the Window is empty... I have the latetst Java Update installed.

Hi Scouser, the mod is good. European competitions are working and it's compatible with CM16 db editing if you back up data\loc and dlc\...\compdata.

My order of steps to work with CM16:
- edit db with CM
- save with CM
- copypaste data\loc and dlc\...\compdata from original FIP files in FIFA directory
- regenerate (I use i68 controller)

I took the head and hair models from MWM, pasted into sceneassets folder and regenerated. So far everything works.

I feel the gameplay is a bit different, a little bit clunky, or is it standard fifa 16 gameplay?

I'd really like custom/new flags to be added in the future.

Someone can you helped me out with the exact process to open a big file please? @Chuny You fixed that I read a few comments above. How do you done that? Something I do wrong to fix the broken Team Names in the Patch with the method by deleting the xml´s and db files in the locale.big in the loc Folder.
I followed the exact path in File Master, but when I Export the locale.big, it´s a ini file when I open it to edit. Is that correct? But I don´t find any XML and db files inside?!
Maybe I open the locale.big file in a wrong way. Thanks.

Help plz

Ok I put the number 0 in the ID, clone it from the third Real Madrid kit and already import the file. Now I still get the same, in the game I get the uniform all white (And I import the file with the uniform I want)

I wanted to ask you why may my Boots Manager not be working.
I mean, I can run the tool, but no matter what boot I assign, in game nothing changes.

For example, I tried changing Messi's boot to one of the white/purple Nemezis, but in game it didn't change.
Tried regenerating several times and everything.
No idea what's going on!

But it has no effect ingame, team names aren't fixed. I checked the locale.big file with File Master, but there are no XML or DB files. I regenerated with i68, file master and CGFE.

Backup your loc folder somewhere. Try deleting _upd files in FIFA 16\data\loc\

Tried it, but nothing changes.

I'm going to do another clean install of the game and the mod, because the team names have worked before but suddenly it stopped working. Do I have to click the DBFix thingy before or after regenerating?

EDIT: works again on clean install, don't know what caused the problem as I didn't touch the loc files. Thanks for the tips.

Scouser did you managed make it work winter accessories like player to wear gloves during summer? Is that possible setWinterAccessoriesWeather?
