If you would add a Paypal button where people could donate you, I think you would get more cash than through shareware. Of course there are assclowns that don't pay for nothing and download everything, get their PC's knocked up by using virus, trojan, malware filled cracks and what not, but hey they're not the target audience... they jump from game to game anyway (until they jump out of the window and make this a better world)

Sorry Rinaldo, but i'm not agree with the idea of making money on this way, i think if everyone follows your example, soon we'll have to pay for downloading kits, patches, adboards and so on...when the most important thing of this game is the possibility to expand it, and add our leagues and customize it and of course, share it with anyone, i'd made for FIFA07 the Uruguayan leagues and colaborated with a friends to create a southamerican patch with all southamerican leagues so people in our continent could play on his own leagues, with no other pay that feel proud about my work and other people can enjoy it, i think that thanks to you, FIFA07 was the best soccer game ever, 'cause many people could work and share his creations, but now charging or making it shareware it's not fair, first at all cause the game it's not your creation, it's like if i would sell my patches when i'd created them using your tool, i mean, i put time, effort, quality work on them, but making money using anotherone's tool it's not fair, the same, you make excellent tools, puts a lot of work on it and makes the game better, but making money via an EA's game it's not ok.
I hope u can reconsider your position, sure you're not obbligated to release for free your work, but i think that when we release some fifa's stuff, i mean patches, kits, tools, etc. we do it for sharing with everyone our work and contribute to make a even better game, your tools are the best by far for editing the game, will be a shame that an ELITE only would enjoy them.

Still.... everything aside I cant wait for Creation Master 08... Your creation master 07 just made the game go to another level because of what the average gamer and non-editor such as myself, could do to change the game.... million thanks, hope you like fifa 08 and cant wait for cm08

I think the overall point here is that you had an entire community of support who contribute kits balls faces stadiums teams players god knows what else ALL FOR FREE. Now you still have complete control to earn money using your product (which I still believe to be illegal regardless of your dismissions) AS WELL AS complete access to every patch everyone else makes.
We trade ideas and work freely here. We do it so that others will continue to share their work with us so we can have the best game possible. Now you have the ability to continue to access anyone elses work so that your game is full of rich kits and many leagues but you exploit us simultaniously for your own benifit. If you had set up paypal and asked for donations you would have made a truck load.
Fifa editing is amazing because it is one of those hobbies everyone could participate for free regardless of age and free hobbies are so incredibly difficult to find these days. Every man wants to take the shirt of the guy next to him for whatever reason. This is dishonest and it isn't in line with the pure nature of what we do here at soccergaming. I don't care if it is only required on some features, it shouldn't be required on any. There are a ton of people who can honestly say "We work as hard for you as you do for us." You are turning your back on them.
I propose a boycott of all features requiring payment of any kind. It is not our way. Boycotts require sacrifice and editing will be much tougher if Rinaldo pulls all of his product off of the market but this is the first step to creating a world of problems for this forum and I think we need to stand together and declare that we will not be taken advantage of.
We made due with Creation Centre in the past, we can do it again. Personally, I don't think i'll be buying '08 simply because of this decision. This is an extremely selfish decision coming from a man that I viewed previously as enormously selfless and I'm disappointed.

hmmm.... i agree with Zefilio, that you should make only donations by pay-pal.... becose this is not your game, this is EA Created Game, its same like cracking. You cracking EA Game, and you should do it for free. If dont have license to Crack(witch is impossible) you can't make money for that.

Now my decision to NOT buy Fifa08 is definitely made... after playing the demo a while I don't really see a sense in buying this game which is not really different from 07. And without creation master I definitely prefer 07.
Usually shareware stuff / trial versions provide just as much features to make you buy the complete thing. After all, he wants to make money with it, so he won't let you enjoy an almost full version for nothing.
You're optimistic because last year's Creation Master was free. But it was only free because Rinaldo wanted to make everyone addicted to it, so he can easily make cash in the second season.

i didn't say it will be expensive - he knows no one would buy it then - i just said the free version won't make anyone happy because it's just there to make appetite for the full thing.

Of course it will not be expensive, at least I hope so...but it's the principle which is bad...Same goes as I said before for sites like centrum fify or fifamania brasil which propose awesome patches but impossible to download if you are a foreigner because you have no possibility to have an account...

well in a way hes right thats why if they are gonna start doing this then we can pay them for all the things that make and then we can have them for free to everyone else for the kind of tools that rinaldo makes is worth the money PS: we are planning of making a fifa-xtreme.com english version and we are looking for staff members anyone interested ? hit me up thanks
