well i my friend told me to give fifa another chance so i did.

expect a nonbiased review of the game in a couple of weeks okeey

me too. start with semi pro level to wc. give a try on career mode as well. after a day, i decided to uninstall the game even deleted the save game to make it completely disappear from my pc. then continue my we8i

Don't understand why people can't play both Fifa and WE8I. I enjoy both of the games despite their respective flaws. It is all in the mind that you find one better than the other.

But apart from Great gameplay, Tactical options more National squads and a good Editting section ( Because of the lack of Licensing )
What else does PES/WE have to offer ? ...
Apart from The Master League ( what league ? )
Custom teams with reincarnated players such as Maradonna, Zico, etc.
Teams like ManU , with the likes of Maradonna, up front.
What, and this is supposed to be a realistic Football simulation ? ...
More like Fantasy Football to me ...

Of course it's like fantasy football. Sure, CPU sides will pick up the likes of Maradona but they arent superhuman. They have to be developed to reach their potential. In fact, player development is one of the best parts of the Master League.

It does feel realistic in the fact that you have to train young players up. It's realistic in the fact that older players get slower and age. Players also feel individual. I've never felt this kind of individuality with FIFA. Especially when they narrowed the numbering of the stats from 99 ---> 12 ---> 6!

Once you do something like that, you take away the players and effectively make them all too similar to one another. Clearly they narrow the stats down to clear up disk space for graphics and that, but it takes a lot out of the player's experience of the game.

PES isn's a spot on simulation. But it's closer to the feel of a real game than FIFA is at the moment.

Fair comments shindig, and i respect your views. There are some nice additions & depth to PES/WE,s gameplay, and i do honestly like playing the game.
But i think it,s mainly Fifa,s Authenticity, and the fact that i,ve been playing it for 10-11 years, that gives it the edge.
Also, Fifa05 does have pretty decent gameplay, when you actualy take the time to adjust to it.
Don,t just play 1 game, then whinge or Un-install it from your Pc, because it doesn,t play like PES...

I could have easily un-installed my PES4 demo after the first time i played it, especially after seeing ...
But i didn,t, i carried on playing it and even arranged matches with friends with the full console version, so i could get a better feel of the game.

Authenticity? Sure, from a graphical and atmospheric point of view, FIFA's always going to have that. However, it doesn't seem to feel like you're playing a game of football.

PES nails the on pitch antics nicely. The way you're building up play. The way you have to be aware of counter-attacks. The way in which you manage the side in order to get the win. FIFA represents the whole atmosphere of the game nicely but you can't get me going as mental as I do over PES over a game of FIFA.

Theres nothing wrong with the crosshair FK.
Also, have you ever heard of the term, Set-Piece ?
Plus, we don,t really want to get on to the subject of player animations ...

Sorry mate, but although i fully understand where you,re coming from.
You haven,t got a real argument, if you haven,t even played Fifa04, let alone Fifa05 and UCL.
Fifa05 is way better than 03 & 04, on animations, gameplay and career mode.
For gameplay & Atmosphere, UCL is probably the best football game that EA have made, as yet.Imo ...

You haven,t got a real argument, if you haven,t even played Fifa04, let alone Fifa05 and UCL.
Fifa05 is way better than 03 & 04, on animations, gameplay and career mode.

Seems to me that there are two groups, here....

1) Those who appeciate football as a global monopoly.
2) Those who appreciate football as a sport.

I really don't give two toilets over whether a game feels authentic from an atmosphere point of view. I much prefer the AI to provide an authentic game of football. For me, PES provides me with it.

I find myself totally drowned in a game of PES. It's exactly how a football game should make me feel. As passionate, as pissed off, as absolutely chuffed a real game should get me.

Well, i could have easily said that about, Fifa ... Same old story mate, it,s down to personal preference at the end of the day.
I personaly can adjust to playing either game, and get just as much enjoyment from both.

As far as appreciating football as a global monopoly or sport, well, football has always been one of my main passions in life.
I,ll tell you for a fact, that No video game will ever come close to the feeling of kicking a Real ball on a Real pitch, or watching a live match..

PES & FIFA are only video games at the end of the day .... Not life & death, as some people make them out to be.
