FIFA WORLD CUP 2006: The Suggestions...

Starting XI
tell EA NOT to forget to switch on CPU subs cause we can't edit the files for consoles and it's annoying just having to change a 0 to a 1 (on/off), and it makes the game much more realistic and gives a sense that the CPU is making changes to try and win instead of just keeping the team!!

EA are really daft for not turning it on in the past few FIFA's, it's getting ridiculous and quite amusing to have all high qualified programmers over at EA unable to notice that the CPU isn't making subs, so DUH turn it on!!!! for f*ck sake lol.

Guys, the chances of there being a World Cup quals option in this game are bloody low...

EA have already made World Cup 98, and World Cup 2002, and in both these years the FIFA game (ie. released before the World Cup) had loads of teams and a world cup qual option, but the World Cup game didnt..And to be honest, that's fair enough. The World Cup game is about the World Cup finals. EA take the 32 World Cup sides, add a few unlucky not to be there, in regions where the game sells well (sides like Ireland are likely in this version), and they concentrate on making a really accurate World Cup Finals game, rather then puting time and effort into qualification which would mean nothing would be quite as 'spot on'...

This does mean tho, all stadiums, kits etc will be 100% official, and everything will look spot on and real...Presentation for previous World Cup games has been awesome IMO...

Anyway, this isnt going off any facts, its just the obvious conclusion to arrive at based on previous years...This is the World Cup game, not the RTWC game ;) And since the Euro game had quals there is a slight chance this'll be in, but I very much doubt it...The game will be about the World Cup finals Im guessing...Euro is different, there is far less sides in qualifying, and the qualifying is less complicated...

I wouldn't worry about it, this is the official news below. Those are the facts. I don't think adding the rest of the qualification and teams really are a big deal. All of us here in the community could do that with some effort. And EA could easily pay their staff to do it. And they will sell more of the game if they add those parts, as they probably did with Euro 2004

And for crying out loud when you win the trophy PPPLEEASSSE Show the greatness of your team lifting the trophy and going bezerk!!

Its so annoying in FIFA 06 and RTWC on the 360 to just see a text screen (Congratulations Man United have won the FA Cup or England have won the Mini Tournament)!!!

EA, take note if you want to make a truly great game for the WC 2006 coming up. Follow the example that 989 Sports (London Studios in this case)has set.

I play the complete road to the world cup with any of 147 countries on WTS (World Tour Soccer) 2006. The Groupings can be randomized too. (Y) This game might not be as good as FIFA 06, but, it's one satisfying moderate gameplay.

I hope EA Sports will listen to this forum, only a short time before April 28th is coming...

One more suggestion: Get the Fixtures of each CPU vs CPU match in qualifying correct as it was in real life, then for finals, once they are completed release a patch to make the Finals Fixtures correct also :jap:

Any Ideas for the World Cup 2006 Soundtrack?

I havent thought of a full list but, these songs should be added:
WC 2006 Anthem & Song
Paul Van Dyk Nothing But You
Paul Van Dyk Wir Sind Wir

As for where the rest should come from:
A few from around Europe, & a couple from Sth America (Latin).
maybe a song from asia & africa

Can't think of a full list only those four songs came into my mind

don't know if someone has mentioned this already, but here's my idea for a great addition to the game:

a mini-Manager mode ...

you take over your team 'just' after the World Cup Draw has taken place ...

you then have a few months to call up old and new faces and find the right mix for YOUR team ...

you can test out various formations and tactics by playing friendlies (which will have the option of "unlimited substitutes") ...

then, when the time comes, chose and "announce" your 23-man squad, and lead them into the World Cup!

But then you would miss out on qualification ( a big part of enjoying the competition), the goal of making the World Cup, & besides, friendlies are played b/w qualifyers anyway. As For Germany that might be a good idea, but more friendlies pre-2006 would be needed to solidify the team ... :jambo:

Frankly I think that all these suggestions posted could be added to the simple Fifa 2006 game: there is the possibility (just need work, and it's planned too) to add qualification stages before final group stages, make the Euro 2008 competitions, make more international teams competitions.. this can be done with Fifa, this is being done inside the CEP.

I reckon for World Cup years, qualifying should be part of the normal FIFA for the year, and this Manager Mode I proposed will be part of the official World Cup game, which focuses in detail on the 32 teams participating (more specific faces, licences) ... i.e. FIFA 20XX Road To World Cup, then an official FIFA World Cup 20XX ...

Then that would mean we would have to buy like 2/3 games to play the one Qualifying tournament, I certainly wouldnt pay $210 for that.... :kader: (btw, you cant really have manager mode for a national team... its not like you can sell, loan or transfer players, nor can you manage budgets tickets etc)

Let's not forget that it's impossible to rig the results of the CPU vs CPU qualifying games to get the correct qualifiers. Also FIFA 06 probably wont allow for the Trophy presentation either... & Let's not forget 10 the stadiums... :boohoo: Let's just wait & see what the Official game offers... :jambo:

I'd much rather prefer to have an all in 1 Qualifyers & Finals, like EA did with Euro 2000, & 2004. I think they couldnt do it for the WC b4 because of the immense disk space needed to have 200 + national teams (compared to just 52 for UEFA) plus so many stadia.... Now with the DVD/PC format it'll be a reality for the World Cup ;)

And would you really pay $140 for something which is valued at $70?

I kind of mentioned this before. EA needs to make a game with qualification of all regions. And have call ups. But it doesn't need to be integrated with the regular fifa game, it still could be the WC game, but with qualification included, and of course, you have to call up each squad for each game including friendly games. And of course you might call up players that don't have scheduling conflicts, or be prevent because of it. Players who do well in games could get increased ratings, and players who don't lose some, I mean not all players who do well in domestic leagues do well at the international level, so that has to show. It would be fun, because you can have your pool of players to choose from. Also maybe you could see how well these players are doing in their domestic league, as well as their ratings to see if you want to call them up.

You could have some of the same rules that exist for call ups also, like giving the club team sufficient time to release their players for friendly games of qualification matches. Sometimes their could be a conflict.

You may not have the same type of manager mode, but you could have your Countries federation to worry about, and what you budget is like. Also have friendly location be a factor in how much money comes in, like Friendly with Mexico/USA in Texas, makes much more money than USA/Grenada according to prestige of the teams. And of course running these friendlys cost money.

Also EA could just use it's player database it uses for the regular game. Plus add more players for the less know international teams. Most countries have their own domestic league, so making a player pool is not to difficult for each nation, no matter how terrible it is. Plus have the game generate players over time, because the game should be on a real 4 years cycle, and if you suck you get fired. But make it so you can start with whatever team you want to manage.

You even could add the WC draw after the qualification is finished. Get a group labeled the group of death.

EA, it think you can do this and make enough or even more money than you did for WC 2002. Plus all the people from smaller countries, ex. CANADA would be happy, because their team would be in the game. And the rest of us, would be happy because it would be very realistic game to the real life experience. I know if you don't have this in the WC 2006 game, there isn't enough time to put it in, but it could happen for the 2010 game.

I honestly don't think disk space is the problem, look how many teams are in the regular game, like 400???
