FIFA World Cup 2014 Patch Review

I'm an old FIFA player, from the begining of the EA games.
I've played the last updated patch for FIFA 14, FIFA World Cup 2014 Patch, made by FIFA-Infinity team, and trust me when i say that this one must be a landmark
for all the patch-makers, and why not even for EA's FIFA developers.
From graphics to the AI, the patch delivers everything that a FIFA player can expect. I've used the patch with the "Station tool" and i did not have any problems runing it.
From graphics point of view, everything is what its says, World Cup graphics delivered in on all the glamour and beyond.
The audio system developed by the F-I team is whats expected to be, immersive and accurate (as accurate as possible can be with the EA's limitations).
The overall team values are like in real life, almost, due to the limitations of the FIFA 14's db and more, but they are acurate and like in the graphics department delivers what we all wanted.
I've played all the games from the qualifications stage till the WC Finals, with Argentina, and trust me when i say this: the game is incredible, from the first touch of the ball till the end of the game.
I've almost lost my first game with Venezuela, in qualifications, they outrun me for 88 minutes of the game, with 2-1, and in the end i've score the 2-2 goal, in the last minute. What a game was that.
The ball gravity is almost real (who managed to make the ball run like that, i bow in front of u m8, and i think the guy is regularcat), the settlement of the players on the pitch is incredible.
The presure from the other team on my defenders was incredible, like in real life almost. When i've riched in the 16th, and playing with Poland, they where on me, with a lot of presure,
passes and counter-attacks like you will never see in the vanila FIFA 14. I almost lost the game, after the polich team had already scored 3 times.
The accuracy of the passes and the AI attacker demarcation was very well balanced and was made with good speed.
The pase of the game and the speed is very well done, not to fast and not to slow, and thats how i like to play, well done!

In the end i wanna congrat all the F-I team for the promiced delivered and for one of the best patch ever made for a FIFA game.

great patch jschuck12001. FIWC 14 is work perfectly for me. I use first version of patch with update 2. No crash in my FIFA. I am so edit the Indonesian squad,added UEFA Euro 2016 and many more.....

Why the logos are dissapearing in the match scoreboard in the game and when press esc they are back and then again miss ? Anyway the greatest mod this year congratulations

In the 23 man squad, the number 12 in Iran is Haghighi and it's correct.

However when I switch to the Qualifying mode with the .exe, the number 12's name is Beiranvand and has Haghighi's miniface. Can you check it by yourself? I can't be the only one with the problem

I have few questions, Will it make the kit lighting like that of DEMO version, the full version kit lighting is very less dense. Also, does it includes the match intro and 3d crowds from Ps3/360 world cup version?
The main thing I want to know is that if it includes the lighting system of FIFA 14 DEMO version or not?

Edit: Also the graphics of FIFA 14 WC in ps3/x360 is way better than the PC FIFA 14. So does it make the graphics like ps3 version. I don't see changes in grass colour

again, i don't know what you are doing but it seems only you have this issue.

I saw a bug in the configuration of the end groups for the World Cup ON ROAD TO WORLD CUP MODE. in group A has two South American teams, Brazil and other equipment conmebol. in group d two teams concacaf. It should be in the A group and a brazil team concacaf, and in group D a concacaf team and a team from the conmebol. thanks

thank you to all involved in the making of this patch,works flawless and is absolutely well done.
i'am missing a feature though a randomize groups button in the road to world cup mode,like the one in custom tournament mode,would be nice to randomize things a bit. but other than that is a perfect patch.

Yeah its really a long time, but seriously I dont get enough time to play the game AND contribute to this forum meaningfully, would have loved to relive the yesteryears. I have become a muted readonly user who occasionally visits this forum to watch it. Really this patch has been the standout one among all.

The scoreboards are a but quirky, this is a known issue by MD. I don't know if that can ever be fixed. I will check with them but if you look there are some notes in each scoreboard and they tell you about some bugs.

On my pc the graphics are way better than on the console, but that probably depends on your pc, its one of the reasons I stopped playing the console WC make and started working on this. Sorry but not sure what you mean by "kit lighting".

It doesn't quite breakdown like you say, the Intercontinental playoff winner goes into those groups I believe. What I did is use the current world cup and made the seeding exactly as they were. As in where did they come from and how did they qualify and I made that team go into that group.


I cant do it like FIFA does with seeding pots so it makes it challenging but thanks for the input.

I wish I could or use the option you get when starting a career and re-seeding the Europa or ECl. It wont work in tournament mode.

which is 2nd worst) i can play it fluently.

And now something that i just needed to say:
Thanks for this great patch!

But where is the Classic XI and why does not
the adidas team function? Adidas young guns are
also left out.

Can I use data from rtwc 2013 for playing the whole
qualification?

Great, those teams are in there as placeholders. It gets complicated but we needed a team in a certain area to trigger a certain response.

You cant use the data from RTWC unfortunately.

Which download do you use? Do you have the 2 new databases? If so the only update was to the bad scoreboard logos.
