and the Fifa vs PES discussion has began once more... and its fiercier than ever..

could this finally be the time for Fifa after a few years of PES domination?
my guess is that Wolfs action will have repercutions(?)..

anyway ppl have forgotten something important.. Total Club Manager 06.. is there any manager game for PES? i think not... it's starting to be WAY TO MANY things in favor of Fifa...

I hate super power companys with all the market but i guess Konami asked for it..

Useless poll, FIFA 2006 is the same crap as 2001, 2003, 2004 and 2005. I doubt it it would reach PES even in 20 years. Also, wrong section mate. There is a whole forum dedicated for PES vs FIFA discussions.

Anyway, the only thing in FIFA's favour is the music (for some people) and the licenses. Nothing more. NOTHING.

Fifa06 is still behind but it goes to the right directions finally...

I played a lot of games these 2 days and can definetly say that fifa cant compare we9 in gameplay yet...Fifa dont have deep gameplay..You get bored to quick...

Crosses are silly in fifa, shooting also....The game is way to quick, when you pass the ball you think that ball is on ice.....

First of all i move this to right server. Secondly TCM2006 is a completely other game and is not fifa. And konami has realased a great Manager game. THe only thing in favour of Fifa is commentary (maybe they have screwed that 2 dunno) and the liscenes.

But you can't judge these games you haven't tried any of them...

Just played the Fifa 2006 demo and imo its the same old ****. Doesnt feel like football , feels like im playing on an ice rink. Graphics and gameplay truly suck also.

First game i beat ac milan 3 - 0 - although noobs will enjoy this as always.

fifa isnt even out yet so its impossible to judge. The demo gameplay doesnt even beat pes4 so i cant see it being better than pes9. but for me it looks like it may be fifa. I hate having to install patches etc. I support Norwich so i cant be bothered having to spend hours editing the game to get them into the game. I will buy fifa then get pes at xmas or after. I wont vote until they are both out though

Fifa is good for young players who dont care about gameplay...
Fifa06 is good for relax and if you are not to pretentious...

But for hardcore soccer fan fifa06 is total crap(long passing, ice feeling ball, shooting, player movement) and cant compare to we9...

i say comment and vote when you play the final build of both games and not judge on the demo. Even though I havent played either of them I wont come out and say which one is better than the other. But I say just wait and try out both games and then give an opinion.

Just try PES and FM one time and you'll feel the realness of it. Believe me I was a FIFA fan before aswell but I was converted and I'm quite happy that that happened.

Can I ask a question. Why do you guys keep using the word "converted"? I mean you guys are starting to scare me because why would anyone want to be converted into anything? :)

What's wrong with converting aslong as it has good endings. Like convincing people to play the real footy game rather then this commercial wannabe football game.

I dunno the word converting is like something you'll use when someone converts religion or into somesort of worshiping clan type deal.

I just think useing the word "converting" in regards to videogames just shows that some people don't have lifes and have to convince people to convert for another game, I dunno it just sounds kinda g.a.y but hey people do and say what they want.

Of course not directed to anyone in mind just in general.

I played WE7 on the pc (it was a direct conversion of the PS game) & i have to say i prefer fifa by a mile. But i put this to the fact that scoring is a whole lot easier in fifa & the controls weren't configured well for pc. But it was obvious to me that even WE7 was way better than fifa 2005. Now i'm sitting back & waiting for fifa 06 & PES5 :)

mind u, WE7 on the pc was a terrible conversion from PS... the ball physics were terrible and the pitch seemed weird... u may want to try WE8 on PC which is by all means the most decent soccer game around...
