Defenders in England are overrated, a guy like Ronaldo or Reyes with a bit more of technique and dribbling skills than normal moves to England and they rip defences apart.

Figo is one of the best players ever and he would do good anywhere while he still has decent pace. If his pace gets weaker I have no doubts he would do good as a playmaker also.

Ronaldo stuggled in the earlier part of last season but as soon as he added some variation to his skills, he became one of the most feared wingers in England and Europe. Virgo, it's not defenders but the pace at the game is played. In La Liga, it might take 20 or more seconds for a defender to close down on you but in EPL, midfielders and strikers tend to help the defence and they might close you down as soon as you receive the ball.

Yea it does seem unlikely especially since Real are likely to be signing Joaquin from Real Betis next season as Figo's replacement, so that would suggest there keapin him till his contract runs out and like u guys said hes now cup tied

Although he is now 32, I would only take him if we didn't have to pay anywhere near £5m. It would add some much needed competition to the wings, and Giggs only performs when he can be arsed or when there is a threat to his place in the team. Ronaldo would learn alot from Figo. Shame it is from The Sun though, so we can forget about that. (N)

We could do with him.
We used to have a great team(1998-2001). I can't see us getting towards that level again unless the board give Ferguson some money to buy a couple of quality players(winger/long term replacement for Giggs, and a world class midfielder).

i believe what we need now is a creative playmaker like ronaldinho but he already at barca. may be diego? or who else?

Sheesh.

Heh, why not go for Van Der Meyde, class player and unhappy at his current club. Wouldn't take too much to pry him away from Inter I'd imagine.
